I truly do enjoy the performance of this vehicle. However, there are a number of things that I can't quite say I'm fond of. Let me start off with its enjoyable perks. It's got great room and a sizable trunk space for extra needed area. It also has eight seats total, which is great for bigger-sized parties to say the least. It's also got a great radio as well as wonderful air conditioner. My problems seem to settle with the constant need for checkups. The check engine light comes on more times than I'd like to admit I'm comfortable with. It seems prone to issues relating to the catalytic converter, and this is indeed an expensive part to manage. Some more issues I'd have to say I am not fond of are the constant refills of gas it's been requiring. Maybe gas prices have just got up, but I... (more)
Story
A trip a few friends and myself took to the bonfire pits. We filled up the back with old wood pallets and lit them up all night—very fun time.
Pros
A lot of space in the vehicle. Wonderful A/C and radio. Great engine.
Cons
Gas requirement. Constant checkup requirement. Horrible shocks.

1999 Dodge Durango - It works, mostly.

My vehicle is rather large. It makes me feel very safe. It's got lots of room for storage and can fit multiple people comfortably. It's a road trip beast, but it is not fit for tight city life. You will spend some time at the gas pump and plenty of money at the gas pump, however.
Story
On my last birthday, I was able to go to the beach with a car full of friends. We were not worried at all and felt like we were in a tank.
Pros
This car starts reliably. It's got a big engine, and it can handle multiple types of terrain. The car is not too sensitive and can take a beating and still keep trucking. Insurance is not terrible, since it is pretty old and not too flashy. The other benefit -- no one wants to steal this car. I can leave it in high traffic areas all day and never break a sweat about getting stolen from.
Cons
Car is a gas guzzler. It is also hard to park,. It can have battery and transmission issues. The car also will not shift from either first of second gear when the car is low on gas. The car is not very comfortable, and the wide seat size makes it hard to sit in correctly for extended periods of time.
