The Altima 2005 is incredibly reliable. In my ten years of owning one, I have had to take it to the shop for urgent repairs exactly twice. It needs just basic maintenance aside from that, which is usually fairly inexpensive. The car easily fits people and also gets pretty good mileage, which makes it ideal for long car trips. You can fit three people, their snow gear, and snowboards in it if you flatten one of the back seats. I know because I did that this past weekend!
Story
When moving to my new apartment in the South Bay of Los Angeles, I packed the car so full that there were things hanging above my head! I managed to get all my things in one trip, though.
Pros
Almost everything! The ride is smooth, the mileage is pretty good compared to cars of similar build and size, and the interior and trunk are fairly large, so you can accommodate a lot of people and things - even some furniture if you are moving! I also enjoy that it's not a flashy car, so replacement parts are incredibly affordable.
Cons
The turn radius is much larger than most other vehicles. It's also a very long sedan, so with the limited turning, parallel parking can become a hassle. The interior could use rear air and cup holders, and the original did not come with an auxiliary input, meaning I had to get my own installed, which was not too expensive.

2005 Nissan Altima - Had feeling it would be great and it is.

At first, I liked the way it looked. It looks sporty with the body kit, the big guard and the roof window. Then I drive it. It's got more power than my old car but still a 4.0 so not a gas hog. It's good on gas, and the A/C and radio work. I have had it six years and never had major wok done to it. The transmission goes into second gear hard. That is the only mechanical issue I have with it. Also, the Altima is a battery hog, but that is not a big deal to me. Also, the e-brake is very loose. It's a great car, and it gets me from A to B without leaving me stranded.
Story
One day, we went up to Paso Robles for a dumb family reunion. Then we left and went to Solvang and stopped at a bunch of places along the PCH. We even saw elephant seals.
Pros
I love the body kit. It looks cool. Also, I love auto up on both front windows, auto on the headlights, and auto on the sunroof. Also, it has fog lights. The driver seat has lumbar support. The dash tells me distance till empty and the outside temp.
Cons
Tranny is a hard shift. I have noticed other older Altima doing same.

I recently leased a 2014 Leaf. I did my homework and compared rates with other dealerships and compared those figures with what other folks were noting in online forums. Mia was by far the best and the easiest person I've ever worked with when purchasing / leasing a car.
