Nissan Altima Owner Ratings & Reviews

2007 Nissan Altima - Totally satisfied.
I have had my Altima "Pebbles" for over ten years now. I purchased her in a pinch. My 2003 Altima "Allie" had just been rear ended, and I was in need of a vehicle ASAP. I wasn't in the market for purchasing a new car before the accident, but things happen. I loved getting the upgrade but disliked that I had a car payment again. The ride was smoother than my previous Altima, and I had a few more bells and whistles.
Story
My best friend, who has passed away now, she would call this the "Mama Mobile." We would drive around picking up our friend's kids from school certain weeks. I miss hearing that name. Our town is in Tracy, CA.
Pros
My favorite feature was, of course, the push button start. I was also nervous about it. So many electrical things could go wrong with that, but I've never had an issue. I have changed out the batteries only three times since having the vehicle. I love my leather interior. My heated seats are amazing in the winter months.
Cons
The negative that I've had since having the car is that the rear sits very low. I took it to the dealership on several occasions to have them looked at it. They have never found an issue. When I have passengers in the back seat, of course, it sits lower. I have to be very careful going over speed bumps or coming out of a low entry. Going in a ramped parking garage is a challenge as well.
2010 Nissan Altima - Has been quite reliable and comfortable.
My vehicle was purchased brand new in 2010 from a dealership. We got ripped off as far as price goes, so that was a definite dislike. My husband traded in his old truck for this car so that is the reason I assume we paid a lot more for this car than normal. I love the fact that it rides very smoothly and quietly. For being seven years old, it still rides very nicely. There isn't much road noise. This car has never broken down except for when it needed a new battery and has never overheated. The vehicle has keyless entry and keyless starting, which is nice because I can cool down my car while still leaving it locked. The interior is cloth and with children that is hard to keep clean so that has been a dislike of mine. I also like that there are controls on the steering wheel for the ste... (more)
Story
My car has been on many trips with my kids and I. One time we couldn't find it at a concert. We forgot where we parked and literally walked all around the lot thinking someone stole it!
Pros
Keyless start (push button start). Comfortable seats. Low road noise. Doors feel durable when opening and closing. Has some updated technology. Lots of storage and cup holders. Runs great at almost 100K miles. Hasn't cost a lot of money in upkeep.
Cons
Doesn't have latest technology like back-up cameras or DVD players. Isn't large enough for three car seats. Is almost eight years old. Price of car vs. resale price.
