I like the most that the vehicle is compact. It is easy to park and maneuver, and also provides great gas mileage as a result of the smaller size. I also love that it is a hatchback. It allows the room of a much larger car when the back seats are folded down. And trunks allow for so little room, so the large area behind the back seats is great. The gas mileage is a huge plus, especially on longer road trips. Yet with the size of the back, I can still carry other people and luggage if I need to travel. The price was very affordable, even new. It was only $14,000 new, and Nissans are very dependable vehicles. I am at almost 90,000 miles and haven't had any problems with the engine area of the car yet, which is wonderful for a car that is 5 years old and with so many miles. Little thing... (more)
Story
I drove down to Ft Worth and Austin, TX with 3 other friends to perform at different venues, and we made a road trip of it. It was amazing!
Pros
Hatchback yet roomy, small size, reliable, great gas mileage, aux input for aux cable to connect an mp3 player, cruise control, no engine/alternator problems yet at 90,000 miles, back windshield wiper and easy to navigate controls for air/defroster.
Cons
The tire light is on all the time, no matter what. The passenger side window will not roll down anymore and I can't figure out how to fix it but taking it in to a dealership to fix it may be more expensive than it's worth. The locking lugnut got stripped within about 3 uses and had to be chiseled off to be able to change my tire. The alignment seems to be knocked off very easily. I can't remember a specific incident that was powerful enough to knock the alignment off that much but it was way off and kept blowing my tires.

The Nissan Versa is the best car for the value. This vehicle is not for everyone; you have to be comfortable in a compact. Further, there is no console so you and the passenger have nothing between you. I got the SV version used. The car has a continuous variable transmission CVT so it feels a bit strange to drive at first, but once you get the hang of it the Versa can be quite peppy. The doors don't have cloth and so they are easy to wipe down. The in-cabin air filter is a pain to change. However, changing the oil yourself is a breeze. The car requires little maintenance. The donut included with the car is very small. The tires are easy to change as is the battery. The car rattles a bit, especially when its cold. Finally, when the wind blow, this car can be a bit unstable. Overall, I ... (more)
Story
We put a bike rack on the back of the car an took our bikes to the nearby state park. It was awesome, and I was pleased that the bike rack fit well.
Pros
Gas mileage. Peppy for a small car. Power windows, locks, and cruise. Easy to clean the inside. This car is big inside and small outside.
Cons
CVT takes some getting used to. The car is a bit unstable when it's windy; hold on to the wheel or leave the road. People won't take you seriously with the tiny horn noise.
