My vehicle has worked very well ever since I bought it two and a half years ago. It runs very smoothly and I enjoy driving it. It had not had many problems except that I had to change the water pump and serpentine belt. Neither of those two things cost a lot of money and it was an easy fix. My car had pretty good gas mileage for an older car. I never feel that it will not run or something may break at any time. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone. Oldsmobile is not made any more, but if someone has a chance to buy it, they should. It is not the best looking car in the world, but reliability matters to me a whole lot more than what it looks like. If someone is in need of a car and does not have a lot of money to spend, this is the car for you because the money you spend will... (more)
Story
The car has taken my husband and I everywhere we have needed to go for the past two and a half years and it has been a great car!
Pros
The top positive things that I love about my car are the reliability, easy to maintain, and great gas mileage.
Cons
The negative things about the car are that since Oldsmobile is not made anymore it may be harder to find parts even though I have not run into that problem yet. Also, it does not have any new accessories in it like the new cars on the market right now. It even has a cassette player! So, if you are not interested in having old technology in your car, then this is not the car for you. I, personally, do not care. I wish it did have more accessories, but reliability takes precedence over all of that for me.

My Oldsmobile is great! It is a reliable vehicle and has lasted me for years. It is safe and has great crash test results. It has every feature you could want in a car, including power windows, power locks, CD player, and AM, FM radio, which is important to me because I love music in my car. The speakers are Bose and sound amazing after all of this time. The ride is smooth, tires wear great, and the steering is flawless. Everything mechanically has been sound and nothing big has happened to the car. It has five seats and can sit five very comfortably. There is leg room in the back and front and the seats can move electrically. Plus you can move the seats up or down, but only in the front. The trunk is large and deep and can hold plenty of traveling material. Everything is secure includ... (more)
Story
I would cruise with my friends around town in college in my car and we would pick people up and drop people off.
Pros
Reliable Safe Sturdy construction Solid frame Everything is in power
Cons
It is longer than most sedans Door panels aren't as strong as the rest of the car Color fades

1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue - It was okay, but an other owner and myself had issues with the internals as well as the window motors (i.e. The window button would stop working).

I own a forest green 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue and overall, I wish that I did a little more car shopping around before I made my purchase. I bought my vehicle used with only 50,000 miles on it and in great condition. As time went by, though, the car started to use up a lot more gas than I expected and the windows motors stopped working. It gets you from point A to point B, but I feel that I was definitely saving not just money, but a bit of quality too when I bought this car.
Story
I remember driving down to California and just cruising along Pacific Coast Highway to nearby hot spots.
Pros
One of the things I liked about it was the space in the car - I could recline my seat without really squeezing anybody in the back and there were compartments all throughout the vehicle (including access to the trunk from the back seats). I think that for the design of the car, it doesn't feel like you're too high up on the steering wheel or that you're laying too far back on the seat.
Cons
One of my biggest issues with this car involves the windows. Like another friend who drove the same kind of car, we both had issues with the windows where there the window motor would stop working and as such, we had to manually slide the window up so that the car would be closed, even though the window could still slide down a while after you left the car.
