Overall, I love this vehicle. I have the model with the V6 engine. My favorite part is how much this baby will move. Whatever you ask of it, it will do it. It has great acceleration for a car of its size. Gas mileage is good at around 20mpg. This could be better but I can't complain. I have taken care of the car and so far at 105,000 miles no major repairs have needed to be done, just general maintenance. The interior is okay. The dash is made out of a hard plastic. This is not a luxury vehicle but it wasn't made to be. One thing I dislike are the blind spots. Being so blocky, this causes blind spots to form in the rear. I have backed into one pole because of it. Other wise, I love the car. The car has great safety ratings at five stars on everything except rollover. This is because th... (more)

The most fun part is the acceleration. You do not expect it to be so peppy.

I purchased my 2006 Vue used from a schoolteacher in Cincinnati, she barely used it toting her two children around and only put on about 55,000 miles on it. Since then I've put about 10,000 on and have had minimal problems, the main being the sway bar links. Overall, the car is great with about 24 mpg combined city-highway, spacious interior, and it doesn't give you that feeling of tipping over like a lot of SUV's give.
Pros
For the pros, the Saturn Vue has a great built in stereo system, and a ton of room for lugging whatever you want around. I’ve personally taken mine camping a few times and when I put all the seats down I (5’9”) can comfortably sleep in the back without having to curl up. This is especially great when camping in the rain/mud since all I have to do is crawl into the car.
Cons
As for the cons, I’ve run into two problems that needed addressing. One being the sway bar links, they’re made of really cheap material and degrade over time, causing the front end to make a “clunking” noise when going over bumps, it does no harm whatsoever to the vehicle, but they are something that should be replaced. The other con is that the wheel speed sensor on mine was corroded and as soon as it lost signal turned off the ABS and traction control. The only way I’ve found to figure out which one it is, is to systematically replace each one until the ABS and t/c turn back on.

It was my first car so they were really helpful to a new driver. I had an idea of what I wanted and they only showed me cars similar to it. They didn't overly pressure me into buying anything. They provided me accurate information about the car. They understood all my concerns and were patient with me even with all of my questions.
