I believe this car to be an excellent value. It's based on a Toyota engine that has a great reputation, and therefore should last a long time with proper maintenance. In addition, the design of the car has a very sporty look to it. The manual transmission in my car adds to the feel. Even though it is a coupe, since the back seats fold forward and the passenger seat flush with the back seats, it has an incredible amount of space inside to carry things one would normally need a pick up truck. Scion has also been incredibly good handling minor design complaints by fixing them at no cost to the owner. The Tc is extremely fun to drive. It has sufficient horsepower in it's small frame to pull through corners and accelerate. There is a huge market providing products to improve the per... (more)

Sure, I pull a trailer with a commercial lawnmower on it and get plenty of looks from people on the road.

I'm a big fan of my Scion TC. It's a reliable car, I've had it 6.5 years now without a single mechanical problem. It handles well but tends to rattle a bit at very high speeds. I get around 24 mpg which was an improvement from my previous car. It has some nice features for the price point. The stereo system is really nice for a stock system and the audio controls on the steering wheel are great. I love the dual sunroof, probably my favorite feature! The interior is sporty looking and comfortable for me (a 5'7" girl), but can be cramped for taller passengers. The only problem I have had with the TC was my trunk latch melted a little and I had to get it replaced. It's kind of difficult to open sometimes and I wish I could push a button on the remote to open it. The trunk latch issues are... (more)
Story
I have one funny story. I was leaving class one afternoon and was pretty tired. I couldn't remember exactly where I had parked and I slogged through the parking lot looking for my car. I eventually found my car, a grey Scion TC, hit unlock on the remote and got in. Something was off...wait this car is a stick shift...I had gotten into the wrong car! Coincidentally, a grey Scion TC, identical t... (more)
Pros
I LOVE the huge sunroof. Good stereo system. Audio controls on the steering wheel are convenient. The trunk is roomy and the back seats can fold down for even more space. Pretty decent gas mileage.
Cons
The trunk latch is hard to open sometimes. I wish I could open it from the remote like many other hatchbacks. Cabin is cramped for tall passengers.

The sales staff was friendly and understanding. The process of purchasing the car through them was the best out of any dealership that I have dealt with in the past. I was in and out in no time.
