The 2012 Volkswagen Beetle has been a reliable, fun car that both expresses my personality and gets me from A to B every day. I love both the exterior and interior design of the car; it's attractive and durable, as I've had little to no issues with maintaining it over the years. The gas mileage is reliable and above average compared to other cars I've owned. The only thing I dislike about this car is the expensive cost of repairs when they do occur.
Story
I've had someone put a note on my windshield saying that they thought my car was cute!
Pros
The most positive things about this vehicle were the expressive and pleasing external and internal design choices, the gas mileage, the acceleration power, and the name brand. My favorite feature was the design.
Cons
The most negative things about this vehicle were the expensive cost of repairs and/or parts and the lack of local dealers that were able to service the car. Since having the car, I did have to get my steering column replaced as well as my tire locks changed. It was difficult and pricey for me to have my car serviced.

While I love Volkswagen Beetles and always have, at the time I bought the car I didn't expect it to be as expensive to upkeep as it was. The car had already had a few issues when I bought it so when it started to mess up on me I wasn't at all surprised. I did not, however, expect it to be so expensive to repair. Due to the previous owner not taking care of the car like they should have, there were a lot of problems that shouldn't have been wrong with it.
Story
Driving to south beach almost daily when the car actually worked
Pros
The car runs great when there are actually no issues. I loved how small and compact it was as I am very short so I don't feel comfortable driving a big car. I also loved the sunroof which made the car a nice car to have on the beach.
Cons
It is very expensive to repair when things start to go wrong.
