2007 Scion tC - I am in many ways satisfied with the overall performance of my Scion TC. Longevity, reliability, and smooth. Still room for enhancements and corrections.

I have had my Scion TC for over tens years now and I must say I have definitely got my moneys worth out of it. I currently just passed 150 thousand miles and the car still runs and feels smooth after consistent maintenance and repairs. There are some issues with appearance and functionality that I am not very happy about. There was a recall on the trunk handle that was not properly secured on the trunk door. The latch would detach after pulling on it too hard. The recall took too long and every Scion TC that I saw had the same problem. I noticed that, like many other Scion TC's that I saw on the road, the body had dents and scratches, as well as the rims being scratched.
Story
I was able to use the vehicle to help make me money for years. I worked many days making deliveries, both long and short distances. I spent hours listening to music and enjoyed seeing many different places.
Pros
My favorite aspects of the vehicle is its handling and reliability. After years of using the car to make constant deliveries and long distance trips, it has held up well even through tough weather conditions. It is very practical and with back seats that come completely down, it makes room for lots of storage space. I also loved that it came with neon color led lights on the dash and a sunroof that slides all the way out.
Cons
After 50 thousand miles the throttle body malfunctioned and had to be replaced. The interior panels now look very faded. The body dents very easily as well as scratching on the rims. Also carpeting on the trunk space gets dirt stuck very easily.

Bought my tC around Autumn of 2012 at a dealer's auction for roughly $7,000. Knowing a bit about it already in conjunction with it's appearance, I picked it out of the bunch that was within my budget. The body style was sporty and edgy, leather seats enough for four passengers. Maintenance was minimal up until now (2014). Initially all it needed were oil changes but now for the first time since having it, it's time to change things like air filters and transmission fluids; which isn't too bothersome considering how long it's gone without needing anything. No major repairs yet but after such a rough winter filled with potholes, it might need new shocks and/or struts. Aside from the possible shocks and/ or struts any major repairs if needed would probably be simple enough to do myself. I... (more)
Story
Driving around upstate New York and concerts in Central Park. Road trips always meant taking my car and creating memories.
Pros
CD/Auxiliary Input Panoramic Sunroof Power Steering Power Windows Anti-lock Brakes Great acceleration Keyless entry Cruise Control
Cons
Not as many safety features as I'd like it to have. Windshield pillar causes a huge blind zone.

This dealership had the car that I wanted in stock. The car was hard to find and the one they were selling was clean with low miles at a reasonable price. They gave me a good trade in value for my old car towards the purchase of this car.
