I looove fast cars so when I was on the market for a new car, I knew there were few options to choose from. Having previously owned a Mini Cooper S, I loved the go-kart handling and knew I needed to keep that tight suspension in whatever my next vehicle would be. I knew I wanted: a four-door car, AWD, navigation and Bluetooth features, upgraded sound system, manual transmission, 200+Hp, in either charcoal or white exterior paint. With such particular tastes, buying a Subaru WRX was pretty much the only solution, and I have a lot of family members that already own Subaru's so I knew I was making the right decision. I love that my WRX met all of my wish list items. I had to search for probably one month before the "perfect" model arrived at a dealer in the area. I ended up having t... (more)
Story
We drove this car across the country when I moved from Southern California to Alabama. We spent four days and three nights driving across the US with a 5' U-Haul trailer in tow. It was definitely a funny and memorable experience, and you don't often see a WRX towing a 5' U-Haul.
Pros
Love the AWD, the speed and engine power, and it still has all the interior bells and whistles that I wanted. Good A/C and upgraded sound system, six-speed manual transmission with short shifter package.
Cons
Not enough horsepower. Had some Bluetooth issues with the radio when I first purchased the car but was replaced under warranty.

I like the new interior and the aggressive restyling of the car. It has improved greatly from the previous years. Another great feature is the gauges in the center of the console. It gives it more of a feel of a higher end sports car when it is an econobox. The power is always there when you need it but you can also drive it around and get great gas mileage. I have put a lot of miles on the car since ownership and have had no problems and managed to save a lot of money and got better gas mileage than a friends Ford Fusion yet I crush him in power.
Story
My favorite memory was cresting over the hill and finally arriving in Boulder with my car packed with all of my stuff and my bikes on the rack in the back.
Pros
My favorite feature is definitely the gauge readout in the center console. It is nice to be able to monitor your oil temp., Average gas mileage, boost, and a few other things. Also, knowing how the accelerator is pushed in helps you drive more conservatively to save gas for when you want to open the car up. My any favorite feature is the twin scroll turbo. It is so nice to have boost available at such low RPMs making it a great commuting car.
Cons
There's not too many negative things to say about the car other than the fact that I miss the rawness of the old EJ motor over the FA. You still get some engine noise in the car but it's different from the EJ. The EJ made it feel like you had a V8 rumbling under the hood while the FA is more refined and you mostly hearing the turbo.
