I looove fast cars so when I was on the market for a new car, I knew there were few options to choose from. Having previously owned a Mini Cooper S, I loved the go-kart handling and knew I needed to keep that tight suspension in whatever my next vehicle would be. I knew I wanted: a four-door car, AWD, navigation and Bluetooth features, upgraded sound system, manual transmission, 200+Hp, in either charcoal or white exterior paint. With such particular tastes, buying a Subaru WRX was pretty much the only solution, and I have a lot of family members that already own Subaru's so I knew I was making the right decision. I love that my WRX met all of my wish list items. I had to search for probably one month before the "perfect" model arrived at a dealer in the area. I ended up having t... (more)
Story
We drove this car across the country when I moved from Southern California to Alabama. We spent four days and three nights driving across the US with a 5' U-Haul trailer in tow. It was definitely a funny and memorable experience, and you don't often see a WRX towing a 5' U-Haul.
Pros
Love the AWD, the speed and engine power, and it still has all the interior bells and whistles that I wanted. Good A/C and upgraded sound system, six-speed manual transmission with short shifter package.
Cons
Not enough horsepower. Had some Bluetooth issues with the radio when I first purchased the car but was replaced under warranty.

The WRX is a great little sedan with plenty of pep in its step. It's perfectly capable of grocery getting duties, but with its twin scroll turbo and standard all-wheel drive, every trip to the super market can be enjoyable. It's nimble in the corners, and throttle response is great. Turbo lag is almost non existent making weekend cruises especially enjoyable. The direct injected engine is another bonus. The direct injection, paired with the twin scroll turbo unit, makes for plenty of toque on tap. Due to the direct injection, it is advisable to ensure the fuel system and valve train is services regularly to avoid excessive carbon build up, which can hinder performance and cause premature wear and tear on various fuel system and engine components. The interior quality and build are much... (more)
Story
I was once pulled over for driving around the same block several times too slowly. I was trying to run out of fuel so that I could empty the tank to have the car tuned to run E85 fuel.
Pros
Great throttle response. Plenty of torque. Excellent handling. Almost non-existent turbo lag.
Cons
Bluetooth portion of audio system can be finicky. Base model audio leaves a little to be desired.
