I got a great bang for the buck with this vehicle: its all-wheel-drive traction, its impressive fuel economy, powerful turbocharged engines, and comfortable sport seats.
Story
I was visiting in a different state and stopped at a local brewery where local WRX owners happen to meet once a week. They thought I was new in town and welcomed me to their community. We talked about our cars for hours. It was really funny to me so I just went along with it.
Pros
I love the safety features. The car is equipped with front-seat side-impact airbags, front and rear side-curtain airbags, a driver's-knee airbag, electronic traction and stability control and incline-start assist, which keeps the vehicle from rolling backward when starting off on an incline of more than five degrees. This is very important to me since I own a manual transmission vehicle. Performance is exceptional. The WRX is an amazing performer, offering the kind of performance that can shame cars that are twice, even three times its price. On the track, the 2.0-liter turbo provides ampl... (more)
Cons
There is a lot of road and wind noise inside the cabin. It provides a very firm ride. There is no hatchback model. If I had the option, I would have gotten a hatchback model, which is always my preference. Eyesight is only offered on the WRX Limited. Fuel economy with the six-speed manual is rated at 20 miles per gallon in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. It requires the most expensive fuel.

I like the exterior and interior styling. I love the performance aspects of it as well. The car is practical since it's a sedan and offers ample storage space in the trunk. It also has great handling and performance aspects. The engine is quick and responsive and peppy. It's a practical and fun car.
Story
I drove two hours away just to buy this car, and the drive back was well worth it.
Pros
My favorite features are the feel of the seats when you get in. The seats hug you in place. The controls of the interior are well placed and allow for a user-friendly operation. The drive is the absolute best thing about this car. It's fast and fun. It has a ton of trunk space, which appears deceptively small from the exterior. The audio quality is phenomenal. The heated seats, auto-dimming mirrors, and blind spot detection are great features. I've never had BSD on any previous vehicle that I've owned, and it has alerted me twice now and successfully avoided a possible collision.
Cons
I would have liked for the LEDs that run as part of the headlights to actually be the DRLs. The interface on the radio/touchscreen and the interplay with my smart phone could be more intuitive. It is lacking in that area and is not as smooth. Sometimes when I take a phone call, the audio starts playing in the background for no reason. The road noise is pretty loud inside the vehicle, but that is to be expected, I think, in a car that is meant to be on the sportier and less luxurious side of things.
