2005 Subaru STi, with 90k miles, mainly as a daily driver and fun vehicle. Had brilliant handling and traction in all weather conditions. The power was more than adequate for a fun car, and it was functional. Short gearing and AWD made for a quick accelerating car, and was more than capable off road and for carrying people and things. The interior was adequate and functional, cloth seats and comfortable for a couple of people. Very reliable and never broke down, few mechanical, maintenance and performance parts installed. Styled very rugged and the engine note complimented with a unique sound only heard in Subaru cars. The fuel economy was adequate and understandably not economic, and the ride was fairly stiff, but livable. A great experience and will definitely buy another Subaru.
Story
Took the car off road in a muddy lake bed, worked well without getting stuck. the car was the dirtiest it had ever been.
Pros
The car was very quick and accelerated faster than most vehicles on the road. The all weather drive-ability was a definite plus for this car. The Subaru was a very nimble small car, which handled precisely for a 4 door car. The performance is what you expect from this car, and the engine and transmission deliver. 300 horsepower to all 4 wheels makes for fast standing acceleration. The car was also light and could go off road if need be, and carried 4 people with a fair amount of luggage in the trunk. The engine sounded amazing with mechanical and turbocharger noise just seeping into a rel... (more)
Cons
The materials in the cabin were of economy car roots, and there was not much soundproofing in the doors or the entire car. The Subaru rode rough on very bad patches of road and would sometimes bounce around. The engine had some turbo lag, but it had torque due to the boxer engine design. This design also made the car hard to work on, especially spark plugs. The Subaru also had little back seat room for the passengers, and would feel like a lack of space for people riding. The car was pretty loud and could be heard outside from a distance. There was never any major issues with the car, and ... (more)

It was an easy transaction and the salesman was clear and to the point. The least desirable part was when the salesman pushed to get the financing from a local credit union that day and was gone for a very long time with minimal updates to keep our family in the loop.
