The Subaru Impreza Sport is an instant classic. Unlike the boxy and unflattering Impreza it's shapely design caters to those muscle car lovers. The car has an upgrade with all weather package that is great for the outdoors type or someone living in New York winters like my self. The best feature for winter is mirror de-foggers along with the anti glare rearview mirror. That should be put in every new car out there! The interior is great so far (I only have 30,000 miles on it so far. I have a friend with an Impreza as well and he said the seat covers actually can zipper off and you can wash them. Its nice to know that in case of a muddy weekend out with the guy or a family hiking trip. I love the hatch back on the sport model. I can fit a ton of stuff in there. When moving to my new apa... Story
I like the gas gauge on it--Tells you what MPG you get during your trip. I will snap chat really good MPG numbers to my friend with his Subaru Impreza to outshine him.
Pros
Big size for small car Interior cleans well Last long time looks cool
Cons
Nothing so far-Could be better on gas maybe. Who cares when oil is subsidized. USA!

The 1997 Subaru Impreza Sport is an excellent car. Although it lacks the comforts of a more modern car it is more solid than many newer cars. I have had this car for many years and have found it very reliable. Its Muffler needs replacing now, but everything else works like new. I have found it to handle excellently in all conditions. In the winter there are few cars that equal its performance. The Subaru Impreza series has a proud tradition of rally cars and the Impreza sport lives up to it pedigree.
Story
The first time I drove in the snow was in this car. It was during a major snow storm and my dad took me out to teach me how to drive in the snow. The snow was close to 2 feet and we were the only non-large suv on the road and I was able to drive circles around everyone on the road.
Pros
Excellent year round handling. Four wheel drive makes driving in raining and snowing conditions very manageable. The Impreza has excellent safety features that after almost 20 years are still up to standards.
Cons
The mufflers are prone to rusting, this is the second time I will have to have it replaced. The gas mileage is much less efficient than newer cars. The interior is not the most comfortable and the air conditioning is not as good as in newer cars.
