The 5 door Subaru WRX offers impressive performance for the price. With a base horsepower of 265 it is a very quick and agile car that is at home camping as well as at the track. The AWD performs marvelously in snowy Ohio winter driving conditions. The quality of the build is excellent. Parts are easy to come by and service; it is very simple to work on. The interior is spacious and 2 adults can fit comfortably in the rear seats. The hands-free Bluetooth integration is a welcomed addition from previous year models. And with the addition of an optional roof rack or trailer hitch the car makes an awesome vehicle for family vacations.
Story
The 5 door WRX is an excellent vehicle to take camping. We have taken ours on a camping trip from Ohio to Utah and you couldn't ask for a better vehicle. Plenty of room for gear, fun on the highways, and no fear of getting stuck in snowy or muddy trails no to mention much better fuel economy than most SUV's.
Pros
AWD Power to price ratio Interior room Versatility Fun to drive One of the best looking hatchbacks in my opinion. These vehicles retain their value for a long time
Cons
The 5 speed transmission is a bit weak on the WRX and does not pair well with heavily modified engines (350hp+) Stock tires are not the best in snow, I'd recommend a set of winter tires if you live in an area that gets a lot of snow Stock sound system leaves a lot to be desired I would love another inch of ground clearance or adjustable suspension
