The 2015 Subaru Legacy offers excellent value through comfort, safety and convenience features. This is the first car that I've owned that has these great safety features: blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control and emergency braking. These safety features are used almost on a daily basis, and I would not get another car without them. The 2015 Legacy also is roomy and comfortable, with seating for five adults. I like the split, folding rear seat, which allows me to take my skis inside the car. The standard AWD of the Legacy has gotten me safely through numerous snow falls where other cars were skidding off the road or stuck on a hill. The fuel efficiency is also a nice bonus, as I have gotten as much as 35 mpg on the highway, cruising at 65-70 mph. Maint... (more)
Story
Driving home from work during a surprise snow squall, I was able to easily climb a steep hill near my house when other cars, and even some 4WD pickup trucks, were stuck on the hill. The look on their face (especially the big pickup truck drivers) as I cruised by was priceless.
Pros
Favorite features are the Eyesight collision avoidance, AWD, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, heated seats, and back-up camera
Cons
2.5 Liter engine is a little underpowered. Would like the outside temperature and clock displays to be larger and more prominent on the infotainment display.

For starters this car handled amazingly, I live in a place that frequently has a lot of snow and rain so as long as you went a speed limit the conditions warranted you were set. While there are a lot of different makes and models of Subaru this one was easy enough to find in a parking lot and it was the perfect size. It fit into almost all parking spots (sometimes you just need a motorcycle to fit into some of them I swear) yet had enough room for storing anything from packs for a camping trip to everything from your college dorm. The seats were adjustable, and while they were not heated, the car was never cold for long because the heater was amazingly powerful. This model had a hatchback and as a result there were a lot of windows and a lot of visibility. The rear view mirror was als... (more)
Story
We replaced the stereo and speakers a few years ago and one day me and the girls were swimming in a lake that is a little bit of a drive from where we all live. So we're driving and it is starting to get dark, it's the middle of summer and the perfect temperature. We were singing the whole way to an ipod playlist full of random songs, there was such a wonderful feeling of camaraderie that night.
Pros
The car handles great, is 4wd, had adjustable mirrors, the rear view mirror didn't obstruct the windshield at all, there was a lot of visibility all the way around the car because it was a hatchback, it was a great size so it fit into most parking spots yet was still able to hold all of your gear.
Cons
There was a blind spot right by the back corners of the car and also by the back windows (you wouldn't see a car if you looked behind you, and they never appeared in the side mirrors. Sometimes it was difficult to see a car even when looked right out the window from the drivers seat.) On average this car got about 27 miles per gallon, and while it ran great most of the time when it needed fixed it was expensive. The struts and U-Joints wore out a few times and when the timing belt died there was no way that car was going to be starting again until it was completely replaced. While it didn'... (more)
