This is a standard, basic car without a lot of bells and whistles; but it really gets the job done. I have put on a lot of miles and, even though the car is older, I haven't had any problems with it. Maintenance is easy and inexpensive. I get good mileage with it, but the gas tank on this car is small! It's a quiet car, which I actually don't quite like, because sometimes when stopped at a light I'm not sure it's still running. The car handles highways well; and it's fantastic on dirt roads (I draw the line at mudding, though). The body has held up really well, especially considering what I put the car through. The interior of the car is not really family-friendly! I am female, and I think the car fits me quite nicely, but a guy might not be as comfortable since the seats are not really roomy. Also, the car is a two-door which would make it inconvenient for those with small children or babies that need to be in car seats. The trunk is a good size - I keep some camping gear in there at all times, a stash of books (about 30 of them!), a roadside emergency kit, spare fluids, tap shoes and hiking boots, random junk, and still have room to throw groceries in. Unfortunately, I found out after a minor crash that parts are difficult to find and expensive. Overall, I consider it a perfect car for me--something that will get me where I am going when I need to, and allow me to have fun my way.

I purchased a 2013 Kia Optima after a lifetime of older used cars. After previously dealing with mechanical issues like engine, transmission, and heating I wanted to make sure that my first new car purchase would be from a company that stands behind the product of their work. The exterior of the car is a medium/light crimson red and it was the first thing that caught my eye. The lines were sleek and clean, and while the car was compact I could see that there would be ample room to transport my family and groceries. The interior of the car features creamy tan cloth seats. I am 6'6" and even before adjusting the seat to its maximum distance from the wheel I can find a comfortable position to sit. The dashboard is busy at first glance, but the gauges follow a logical order. The center console has a large display for music or satellite radio and the cd player was a nice feature. This was my first car with an aux input and that has become the main way I listen to music. Controls for audio located on the steering wheel is my favorite feature when it comes to the entertainment package. Mechanically, the car runs well. I have kept up with all of the manufacturers recommended maintenance and outside of normal wear and tear (brake pads, etc) I have had zero issues with the automobile mechanically. I opted for an extended warranty for peace of mind, and while I am glad to have it I have found that it was not necessary.
