Fast, Furious, Solara
I liked that the car was a 99 model, those are my two lucky numbers. I dislike that my head gaskets are busted again after a rebuild. Hopefully I won't need new rings, or crank shaft. I really like the look, and body of this car, I really don't know why this make and model did not make it to the fast and the furious. It is a really comfortable car, it has a lot of room, and the body is pretty wide. I noticed noises coming from the engine mounts that are busted as well. It has been in and out of the shop, and we can not find a great rebuild mechanic who won't charge an arm and a leg. The car has over 200 thousand miles on it, always did the oil changes, and could rebuild the motor for about 2,200 says a local mechanic. I've had so much fun with this car, went on road trips to northern California in it, and want to keep on doing so. Acceleration is not so good, I hear a rattle on first gear, then 2 is quiet and so up. Don't know if it's coming from the tire area? Break pads are still good, a little squeaky, and the suspension could be rebuilt for betting handling. I do feel safe and in control while I'm driving, no rattle of the steering wheel column.

Great First Vehicle - That's About It
I've added about 30,000 miles to my car since I first got it over three years ago, and so far, I still enjoy zipping around in my little Focus. The car is tiny (I am 6' 3"), has no side airbags, and has minimal interior design. However, you pay for the engine in this car, not the interior or endless amount of useless features in today's vehicles. The 2.3 Duratec engine provides over 150 hp to the front wheels, and since the car only comes in a manual transmission, allows you to easily slip into the engines power band, and also allows you to keep the RPM's low to get better gas mileage. The car is not fast by any means, but it is quick. You can skirt through corners of backroads like a felon, as the front wheels screech for grip when you down shift into a sharp turn, or take off from a stoplight, and seamlessly shift through the vehicles 5-speed transmission in a breeze, the stock exhaust providing an urgent rumble audible whether you are sitting still or approaching 6K RPM's. The mesh style seats are meant to give a racing-style seat look to them, but they are also heated, which is a nice touch on the cold winter mornings of Pennsylvania. The heater also works wonders, but the air conditioner has much room for improvement, usually resulting in me rolling the windows down instead of the same air circulating the car at approx 5 degrees colder than if you had not turned the AC on full blast.
