Affordable luxury.
The Ford Explorer is quite likely the best SUV on the market today. The Explorer comes equipped with all the bells and whistles that you could ask for including heated and cooled seats; auto adjust cruise control; automatic wipers and lights; 3rd row seating and the list goes on. The Explorer turns heads and I always get compliments on how beautiful the vehicle is. The ride is smooth both in the city and the highway. For an SUV, it gets decent gas mileage and the safety features are the best in class in my opinion. Airbags throughout the vehicle and even in the seat belts. Most of the interior features are customizable to the driver and with Sync it is almost all hand free. My Explore has the ability to park itself. The only thing it does not do for me it drive itself though it is as close as you can get without actually doing it. It is a comfortable ride even on the long hauls.

Great Vehicle All Around
The Ford Explorer has a lot of great qualities. It is a solid vehicle that makes you feel safe while driving it. The sensors and backup camera add extra safety dimensions. It is a smooth and comfortable ride. Extras like heated seats and satellite radio make getting stuck in traffic a breeze. The Explorer seats 7 comfortably. Up front you have zoned cooling/heating and lots of legroom. The middle seats have cooling and heating options as well. The back seats fold down with a press of a button, so there is more cargo room for large loads. The auto start and tail gait can function from the key fob. The engine makes for a lot of pickup on the road. The side mirror blind-spot alert light comes in real handy while driving in heavy traffic. Automatic features like the auto lights and windshield wipers help with safety. And the vehicle report which goes straight to your phone helps to keep up on the maintenance.

There's a reason you can't marry a truck
Wow. Where do I start on my truck? I have owned my dark blue Ford explorer (exploder for you Ford haters) for about 8 years now. I'm one of those people that believes a truck should be used for what it was designed for - being a truck. Not only city and highway miles but tons of dirt / dirt road/ and rock miles. With over 250k miles this truck has been and seen things around the US that most others will only look at a picture of; from driving in blizzards from the harsh winters of the Midwest to plowing through three foot waters in the deep south. The only major repair I ever had on my truck was the transmission which went out 4 years ago (it was the reverse) in of all places, my suburban driveway!
