The 2002 Honda CRV is a solid choice for just about any driver looking to buy. One of the key benefits of the CRV is having an SUV that handles and feels like a regular sized car. The visibility in particular is unparalleled for an SUV, with a very large rear window and two additional side windows as well. The storage capacity is unbelievable for a vehicle that size. I fit the contents of a 750 sq. Foot apartment in my CRV - along with two adults and a cat - and it was a piece of cake. There are also a lot of neat, thoughtful features that you wouldn't expect in this particular model, including a back that transforms into a removable picnic table, and side hooks in the rear to place grocery sacks; keeping them from rolling around. The drink holder between the two front chairs swings d... (more)
Story
I have a lot of wonderful memories with this vehicle. Some of my favorites involve my kitten. When I adopted him, the people brought him out to me while I was sitting in this car. He rode the whole way home sleeping on my lap; so small then he fit into my upturned palm. This became a habit for him; he is my copilot. Even on longer trips on the highway, his favorite spot in the car is sleeping ... (more)
Pros
My absolute favorite thing about the CRV was the visibility, hands down. You won't get a better view of the road from any other vehicle. Another favorite feature was the luggage/content capacity -- space for miles; while the feel when you are driving the car is that it is much smaller. It's a wonderful surprise. It feels small when you'd want it to - I don't want to feel like I'm driving a boat, or something extra wide, or something really high off the ground - but it's large as can be when you'd like it to be, too; such as when you are moving an entire living space and don't want to rent ... Cons
I don't have many negative things to say about the CRV. It's a fantastic choice for anybody. I guess the most negative thing is that the car has an electronic anti theft system, which equates to an extremely expensive mistake if you lose the keys. You can't just have a new key cut by anybody; the key has to be programmed to the anti theft system for that particular vehicle, so replacement will run you around $200 or more -- much more if you can't have a locksmith meet you on site. The upside of the locking system with the CRV is that for people like me, who have a bad habit of locking your... (more)

The 2015 Honda CRV is a quality vehicle, which I have never had any maintenance issues with. It has been reliable when I need it and serves as an effective family vehicle for a smaller family. The vehicle gets excellent gas mileage due to an underpowered motor but the EX trim package that I purchased has very few frills. My family is ready for a new car, which offers more in terms of luxury and comfort; however, the CRV got the job done for us, and I would recommend it as an economical family car to anyone.
Story
I used the vehicle to take a road trip with my wife and daughter from Texas up to Omaha, NE. This was the first road trip that we took with our baby, and it was a nice experience and the car comfortably carried everything we needed for a few weeks of travel and it served us well.
Pros
The passenger seats fold down very simply, making the CRV a capable hauler for small amounts of cargo, well above what I had originally expected when I purchased it. The CRV gets excellent gas mileage on the highway and in town and has a generally smooth ride. The vehicle has a very simple and easily useable maintenance interface. It has a feature where the right turn signal activates a turn camera on the right side to assist the driver with clearing a blind spot when changing lanes or turning. Although I consider the CRV to be a smaller SUV, I was able to ride long distances in any seat i... (more)
Cons
The biggest negative of the vehicle is that it had what I would consider to be excessive road nose. This road nose made it difficult to hear passengers in the back seat, and I often had to turn the radio down completely and have the passenger lean forward in order for me to hear them. Alternatively, if I turned up the radio loud enough for me to comfortably hear it in the front seat, some passengers complained that it was too loud in the back seat. This is a problem that other users have reported with the car; I get my hearing checked annually so I know itÕs not me! Also, the car has an ac... (more)
