One of the things I liked from the moment I got in for the test drive was that this car does not feel like a hunk of cheap plastic like many other cars in the same price range often can. And it's not just the way the car feels but how it actually performs; I took several hits from a functionally impaired driver in a large truck (a big initial impact and then several smaller ones as he attempted to drive through/over me) and the car body held up amazingly well with relatively minor damage (I expected it to be totaled). The other features also stack up well; the car has a cruise control which was a feature similar cars did not have at the time. In addition it has a CD player that can play MP3 formatted disks, an auxiliary input, and a USB input that ACTUALLY WORKS. So many USB inputs i... (more)
Story
Honestly people love the colors that these cars come in. I have been stopped by a number of people places I go who tell me that they just love the color of my car ("That's the craziest shade of blue!"). Then they go on to describe the other colors they have seen and which ones they like the most (apparently a lot of people like the orange one). The first time it happened I thought maybe the pe... Pros
This car is a very well thought-out piece of engineering, really typical from Honda in my opinion. At the time I bought it, the car was a great value and had a lot of features that similar cars lacked (such as cruise control and USB input). In addition, I tend to have to switch between transporting people and goods very quickly and this car really makes that easy and provides a lot of space for both. There is plenty of get-up-and-go in the engine for only having four cylinders and unlike the luxury cars around here it is able to deal with road hazards amazingly well (construction junk, h... Cons
It is hard to find anything bad to say about this car. Honda really puts a lot of thought into their vehicles and it shows. Anything that I would like to change about the car is simply a result of my price range (wouldn't we all like to have temperature control for our seats and drink holders!?) Or the year I purchased it (no backup camera/alarm, which many cars in a similar price range have today). Instead of describing cons of this car I think I will have to describe what it does NOT do in comparison to other cars I have driven. The dashboard does not crack after spending long hours in ... I love my Honda Fit! It has been super reliable while I have been in college. It's seemingly a small car, but it fits a whole lot! I've moved into and out of a dorm/apartment probably a dozen times and have been able to fit every single thing that I've needed in the car. I've literally fit my entire life in the car multiple times! I travel often (driving for two hours at a time) through rural roads to get home, and I have never had any issues with the car suddenly breaking down in the middle of nowhere. Since I always do the regular maintenance on my car, my car has treated me well. I have about 150,000 miles on the car, and I haven't seen any change in it's performance thus far. The only problems that I've had with the car are the TPMS sensor always being on and the fact that the AC/h... (more)
Story
My dad lost my cat in his neighborhood, and I had to continually go look for him for a month. I finally found my cat (sunbathing under someone else's car) and raced back to my Honda Fit to put my cat inside. My cat sat on my shoulder for most of the ride while I blasted my music. It was definitely a journey getting back because I got stopped by the police (speed trap) on the way home (two hour... (more)
Pros
The Honda Fit can fit a lot of items! It is also great on gas mileage! I don't think I've ever paid more than $30 to fill it up. Although, the car doesn't have Bluetooth, it still have a wonderful AUX stereo system that will allow you to play the music from your phone.
Cons
Since the Honda Fit is a small car with a tiny engine, it takes awhile to accelerate. It's definitely not the sports car that I've always dreamed of even though I have the sport edition of the Honda Fit. Again, since the Honda Fit is a small car, it may slightly "sway" a little when you're driving fast (80+) on the highway and cars are whizzing by you. I don't feel unsafe, but I just wish my car was a little more hefty to where I didn't feel the vibrations of trucks driving past me.
