Good enough
I bought the car used with only around 20,000 miles on it. It does not have many of the features my other car had that I had grown accustomed to, such as back-up camera, being able to listen to music through my car via Bluetooth, or the space I was used to, but it has not given me any real problems since I have had it apart from the usual upkeep. I work in disease control, and at first it seemed the trunk space was too small for even my supplies, but I discovered it has two additional compartments below the main one, which is perfect. For a small car, I expected it to have better gas mileage than it does, but it makes up for it with its smooth ride. ItÕs a hatchback, so it is not the best car for a growing family such as mine, but my job requires me to travel around 1,000 miles most months, and it is built for longevity it seems.

Economical pick for a first-time car buyer.
Overall, my 2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT was an economical choice for me as a teenager in need of my first car. My family traded in another vehicle for my Sonic, which was $17,000, enabling us to fully pay for my new Sonic in cash. The vehicle gets approximately 33 mpg because I drive mostly long distances on highways and takes about $25 to fill up with fuel. The vehicle is a four cylinder and lacks power, automatically shifting through several gears to reach full highway speed. This sometimes can be annoying when merging onto a highway from a complete stop. I often notice vehicles behind me angrily navigating around me because my vehicle starts off so slow. I'm not entirely sure if this has to do with the vehicle as a whole, but I've encountered several frequent tire issues. My Sonic is very prone to flat tires, but I also live in Pennsylvania where potholes are nearly everywhere. My Sonic is great on gas but probably only because it lacks power. I think it is a great first car for first-time drivers, also because it scored highly on safety and crash tests.
