It's an OK car
The interior build quality of the Equinox is decent. There aren't any noticeable rattles or broken pieces on the interior. The cup holders are the flimsy kind that pop out of the center console, but even those remain unbroken after 160,000 miles. The rear seat is especially nice, as in addition to folding down it also slides forward and back a few inches, as well as reclines a couple of inches. This makes it nice for rear passenger comfort, as well as maximizing cargo space in the back. The exterior is a little worse but still OK. A few rust spots are developing and the paint is bubbling up a little on the back hatch. There's been an annoying squeak for a long time now while driving that nobody can seem to diagnose, but it's not too awful and gets drown out by the radio easily. We recently had a drive shaft issue, and on this particular car GM used a carrier bearing assembly instead of normal u-joints, so instead of a $15 fix in the driveway it becomes an $800 repair at a shop. A few little issues like this make ownership more expensive than it should be for no real benefit.

This is an excellent vehicle.
This is a great SUV for the price, it feels like a vehicle you would have to pay double for. It gives you so many luxury options that come standard & I have never had a problem. The stereo system is excellent in this vehicle, it sounds like you are at a live concert, and the capability to sync my phone with the vehicle is amazing. The interior of the vehicle is nice and sleek, I like the colors they have it seems modern. I love the capacity of this luggage area in the vehicle, I can fit my hockey equipment in that back, along with many more objects, its perfect for real life. The ability as well to hook my cell phone up to the car is excellent I can make phone calls hand free while driving and I feel much safer thanks to this feature. The auto lock and start is great for when I am not sure if I locked my vehicle, which often happens, this is a great security feature, the auto start is a must have in the cold winter days when your car is covered in snow and ice and you have to get ready for work early in the morning, this takes all the problems of deicing your vehicle out of you morning.

2012 Equinox is ok.
I own a 2012 Chevy Equinox, standard edition. There is not much to it and looking back I probably would not buy the vehicle again if given the opportunity. It gets decent gas mileage and is AWD so I have no trouble getting around in the snow and adverse weather. However, being 6'3" it's a little smaller than I'd like to have and often feel cramped. I have had no major issues with the vehicle so far.
