I loved this car it fit me like a glove. I did not know how much I would like this SUV when I first got it. I bought it out of necessity because my street kept getting flooded in and I could not get out to go to work or anywhere else for days and once for two weeks. It had great ground clearance with twenty inch wheels and plenty of power from a large eight cylinder engine. The leather interior was also a luxury I had never experience before. All in all this was my favorite vehicle ever to drive and I felt superior when sitting up high above most of the traffic with a great view.
Story
The first day I brought it to work there was another coworker who had bought the same model and year in a different color. They had gotten there first so I waited to the end of the shift and then told them not to get into my car by mistake. When I got outside they were looking at my Expedition and comparing to theirs. It was a good laugh for both of us.
Pros
The luxury package was a great deal. The leather interior and matching leather covered steering wheel gave it a high class experience with superior comfort. The twenty inch wheels gave it a high stance and the sound system had concert like quality. The high performance engine had enough power for all driving situations especially passing.
Cons
There were very few negatives with this vehicle. It is a bit of a gas hog and only got ten miles per gallon at best in city driving and eighteen on the highway if I drove conservatively. The only other drawback was that it had a rather large turning diameter.

Things started off great with our Expedition. It was the best family car we've ever owned. It was big, everything was electric, we could easily get our four children in and out of this vehicle. We had owned it for a little over two years when the transmission went out. We are a family of 6, with one income. We do not have the money to fix the transmission which is in the range of $3500 to repair. So, it sits there in the driveway while we still continue to make our monthly payments. This has been the only disheartening thing in regards to our Expedition. We have never loved a family car as much as this one. Which makes what is currently happening even more bittersweet. It has/had great power and convenient luxuries, but most importantly it fit our entire family and it did so very comfo... (more)
Story
Because our Expedition has a roof rack, we were able to continue our family tradition of cutting down our own Christmas Tree, and strapping it to the roof of the Expo. Our kids love it and we hope that we can do it again next year.
Pros
Power everything, moon roof, sound system. And like I said previously, it seemed to tower over other sedans.
Cons
I didn't have anything negative to say about this vehicle until the transmission went out.
