2005 Toyota Highlander - I love this vehicle!
This is the best vehicle I've ever had - I've owned it for 14 years, and it only has 105,000 miles on it. It's done everything I've needed it to do - moving from house to house, long, multi-state road tips, car camping, etc. It has enough space for an air mattress and my stand-up paddleboard. I take it out all the time. Not only does it have power in the front dash to charge things, there is also one in the back. That is perfect for inflating my inflatable paddleboard and kayak or charging a device. I would buy this vehicle over and over again. I just wish they didn't change the styles so much. They are too big for me now, but given Toyota's reputation for going 300,000 plus miles, I may never need another car! It's never failed to be comfortable on long road trips, and it has plenty o... Story
Stand-up paddle boarding. People comment on how convenient it is that my pump plugs into a receptacle in the back.
Pros
Plenty of room, even a third seat, multiple power plug-ins, can car camp comfortably.
2003 Toyota Highlander - Love it. Keeps on trucking.
The vehicle is a good vehicle for safety. It does great in any kind of weather and road conditions. The car hasn't needed a lot of work and has been very reliable. What I have disliked is that the check engine light comes on all the time, whether or not there is actually work to be done. Gas guzzler and slow at acceleration.
Story
One of my favorite memories was one cold winter we went to visit my horse, and the car was bumping gently over the washboard dirt road, and my horse was just walking alongside the vehicle. I ended up off-roading a little to stick with him, and the car did great.
Pros
Color, safety, reliability, and easy to drive.
Cons
Gas guzzler, slow accelerator, and outdated.
