It has amazing gas mileage. I average 44 miles per gallon! It is very easy to maintain. I have never had mechanical issues. I have 161,000 miles on the engine, and I believe I will make it to 300,000 miles easily. It is in nicer shape than many of my friends newer cars, and I bought it used. It still drives like a brand new car, and it is almost 15 years old. I am the second owner, and I will keep it until it falls apart. Then I fully intend to purchase another Prius!

I love my Prius. It is the second one I have owned. After my 2001 Prius finally gave up, I never even considered getting a different make/model because I loved my last one so much. My new one is even better. It's economical on gas and almost never needs repairs. I get over 45mpg and drive a lot, so I love having a car that has such great fuel economy. Parts are cheap and easy to purchase when it does need work. Very reliable and comfortable car, has never given me performance issues. The only thing I dislike about driving a Prius is the fact everyone makes fun of me for driving one -- until they ride in it and realize I'm not wrong. It's really the best car ever, and the only person who should be feeling foolish is them driving a car that gets 18mpg. I will drive this Prius until it dies, just like my last one which maxed out with over 200k miles on the engine. I hope to put in 300k miles with this car, and based on experience owning Toyota, feel that's very realistic.
