2011 Toyota Highlander - Why I love my highlander.

I bought my highlander after owning a full size SUV with a V8 engine. I loved the highlander from day one. I love the interior being roomy and comfortable. I like that I have the 3rd row option to carry more people. The 3rd row also folds completely down flat so that is more cargo space in the back. The gas mileage on this vehicle is really good. It also feels like more of a car ride than a truck ride. I like the way the car looks as it is still and SUV but is not super big. I have had no problems with my highlander and all components seem to be working good.
Story
We are renovating our basement and even though my highlander is smaller than my previous SUV it still carries a ton of stuff. I was able to put a bathroom vanity and all the fixtures in it with no problem.
Pros
I love the gas mileage it gets along with the smooth ride it provides. The space inside the car is just enough. My favorite feature is the size because it is an SUV but still small enough that it is easy to park and move in and out of traffic. The tires for this car are much more reasonably priced than my other larger SUV. Upkeep and maintenance are easy to keep up with.
Cons
The only negative is that I have a 4 cylinder and would like at least a v6 engine so that I could haul more things behind it. Also, I wish I had more bells and whistles like navigation, back up camera, Sirius music. I also feel the leg room on the 3rd row is very limited.

I have a 2012 Toyota Highlander. We bought it used a couple of years ago. The main reason we bought it is because Toyota has a reputation for building dependable cars, and this has been proven true with our Highlander. The car is sturdy and has no "weird noises" that seem to plague other vehicles I've owned. It rides well and is relatively quiet. My husband is a mechanical engineer, and he loves how easy it is to do his own maintenance. He can change the oil and do other under-the-hood things that he's always complained about with my other cars.
Story
We live in south GA and don't get much snow. This year, we got over 2 inches! We don't really know how to drive in that, but it was neat that my car had a "snow" button. I pushed it, and you could tell that I had better control on the slick road. I have no idea what it did, but it worked!
Pros
It's relatively quiet, rides well, is easy to get into and out of, has plenty of space for our family and stuff in the trunk, the heated leather seats are divine in the winter, the A/C works great in the summer, and the sunroof is perfect for nice spring weather. The sound system and navigation are top notch. It gets decent gas mileage (approximately 20 mpg).
Cons
It has a bit of a minivan look. It's not nearly as sporty looking as my Nissan Murano was. It would be nice if the front seat was longer, so it would support more of your thigh. It would also be nice if the navigation had free upgrades, as it's time for me to update my maps, and it's going to cost me around $200.

The best part about my dealership was the my salesman. I sat down, gave him the specifications of what I was looking for, and he said to me, "Come back on Thursday, your car will be here. " I went home, and came back on Thursday, and BOOM. There was my car. The color, the options, and manual transmission. We even negotiated the price a bit, and brought it down about $1000.

Friendly staff, the sales person was not pushy (as opposed to the other dealerships in the Area). I was considering several vehicles including the RAV4, CRV, Rogue, etc. Ultimately I went with this place because the staff seemed genuine and not pushy at all.
