This car isn't bad, but it also isn't great. For a single person or even a couple it is a great size. Small enough to maneuver easily in city traffic, but large enough to haul a lot of stuff. The seats are comfortable, and when the back seats are put down there is ample space for large objects. This back space is also fairly easy to clean. In my personal experience though, after the warranty especially, far too many recall notices came in and far too much had to spent on this car. I didn't drive it very hard, but every year several hundred dollars of work had to go into it. Overall, perhaps the model has gotten better, but if I could go back and change my purchase to another more reliable vehicle I would in a heartbeat.
Story
While moving, this car made it a breeze. The space in the back allowed for very easy moving with only a few trips.
Pros
Vehicle has a lot of room once the seats are put down, and the seats are very easy to put down. Car is very comfortable to sit in, especially the drivers seat.
Cons
I have had to put a lot of work into this car, many things have gone wrong with it and I have had many recall notices. These things make me very wary about buying this car again.

I recently purchased a 2009 Toyota Matrix. It is dark blue. It was a replacement for a 2005 version of the same car. My new car has all the same great features: attractive styling, good gas mileage, good cargo space - plus it is even sportier than my earlier version. The acceleration is better and the handling is crisper. The interior layout is more useful. I am extremely pleased to have found this car, especially since Toyota no longer makes this model. Other cars I considered were Mazda 3 and Hyundai Accent. Although those cars are nice, I think I made the best choice with the Matrix. I paid $6,400. It had just under 90,000 miles when I got it. I expect to drive about 10k or 12k per year. I expect to get at least five years of use from this car.
Story
I have car pooled with my co-worker several times, and we listen to Spotify or podcasts!
Pros
Sporty. It has an auxiliary audio input, which my old car did not. Attractive styling. Great cargo space with folding seats. Very nice dashboard layout.
Cons
Gas mileage is not quite as good as my earlier version. The car has a few nicks in the paint finish.

I had worked with my sales rep before and he understood what I was looking for in a car. He was not pushy with trying to oversell me on other cars or add ones, but genuinely worked with me to reach a deal we would both be happy with. I would gladly work with him again.

They were friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me the best deal for my trade in. We used this location of Toyota dealership even though it's a forty minute drive away from us because they were much more polite and had better customer service than the one that is only five minutes from us (Curry Toyota).
