I love my Jetta
I bought my Jetta while I was in high school (I still have it, obviously) and I have since driven other cars, but I love the Jetta the most. It's a sturdy, trusty car and even though I have had to put some money into it, it still drives great. It's good to drive in the snow, because the steering wheel is hard to turn, which I like. So if you gently turn the wheel, it's not like the car swerves. It takes some muscle. It's a small car which makes it perfect for getting into small parking spots that larger cars and SUVs can't fit into. The trunk fits more than enough, all of my art supplies and canvases fit with no issues. Great gas mileage as well. One nugget about my Jetta—and apparently all Jetta's from around 2001, it smells like crayons! Pretty much every person that has gotten into my car says "your car smells like crayons!" Now, I know I just said I have art supplies but this was before I was taking classes. I met another Jetta owner and asked him if his car smelled like crayons and he said YES! Yours does too?!

Solid choice.
The 2010 Volkswagen Jetta SE is a great sedan for my small family. It is a solid ride and was an economical choice. The MPGs are great on this car—and the repairs have not gone beyond the usual wear-and-tear issues like brakes and oil changes and tires since I purchased it in 2012. It does require a full synthetic oil change, though, which costs a bit more than I was used to paying for on my previous cars (most recently a Saturn). On the plus side, the 87 octane fuel is the recommended blend, so I don't feel like I am doing my car a disservice my gassing up on the cheap. The car is roomy and comfortable for driver and passengers, front seat and back. I'd like to see a built-in USB charger. Every time I use my cigarette adapter charger I blow a fuse (luckily, changing the fuse is easy!) My absolute favorite thing about the car are the little extras that come standard on the base model. I have driver/passenger heated seats and heated side view mirrors. Living in a cold climate, I never want to suffer with a car without heated seats again! Storage compartments and cup holders are plentiful, easy to reach. Both visors also have lighted mirrors. It's a small perk, but all in all, it adds up to a nice, solid car at a good price!
