We purchased this car when we moved into our new home, to use it for purchases like washing machine or dryer and other misc. furniture. The back seats can be taken out giving you a lot of room for many larger items. The car is sturdy and drives well, especially in the winter. At over 100k miles, and it holds on strong. The only down side is the back seat is a bit too tight for our three kids. I love that the trunk door open sideways, and the extra underneath trunk and door storage.

I purchased a RAV4 because it was a good blend of reliability, gas mileage, and cargo space, and it had a pretty smooth ride. What I purchased was just the standard two wheel drive. It performed as expected until winter. Once the roads became wet and slick, the RAV became a nightmare to drive. It didn't have sufficient weight in the front for decent traction. In any amount of snow, starting from stop lights was a real issue. Stopping was an issue as well, as was just staying on the road. Once our new son arrived, I decided that I couldn't keep the RAV. I didn't feel comfortable driving it with my son in the back.
