We bought the car for traveling and larger loads, but wanted something more practical than the F-350 we used to have. The ability to carry passengers comfortably is important for long trips. It is also versatile enough to load it up with stuff from Home Depot or the grocery store. This makes it nice for an all-around car if you find yourself needing extra capacity. It is also a great looking car that gets a lot of compliments. I think it is fairly underrated just because not many people need such a large vehicle, but that just makes it stand out more as people check it out.
Story
Surprising my mother that my dad had decided against buying another truck and instead went with a Sequoia.
Pros
The room inside of it is definitely the best feature for me, it feels even bigger than it looks in terms of space and comfort. It also had a lot of nice smaller features that added up for an overall great experience. The drive was rather smooth for a big car, it was great for long hauls. It was nice to be able to have tons of room for passengers to sit comfortably, but still room for bringing a lot of cargo. It had decent pick up for such a large vehicle as well, even with a full load. Handling wise it might not turn on an absolute dime, but again for a large vehicle, it is pretty impressive.
Cons
Gas mileage could use some improvement, but it is mostly to be expected with a larger vehicle and something we anticipated. It was also a rather expensive purchase, but you get what you pay for with it and it does hold value fairly well. Overall I would say most of the cons are just the standard side effects of having a large vehicle, like trying to park it in small spots or taking up room in the driveway.
