The Tacoma is a platform of Toyota that has had much success in the past. With their car's high resale value and reliability, the choice to buy a Tacoma was quite simple.
Story
I tried to drive over a highway medial and got stuck in the ditch LOL
Pros
The pros of the Tacoma include durability, high resale, and a plethora of aftermarket parts. This last point was my main reason for buying, because I eventually lifted my truck. The process of lifting your vehicle can be daunting at first, but over time this process allows a better understanding of your vehicle.
Cons
The downside to this vehicle is its IFS. This is a nightmare when lifting your vehicle unless you are going for a long travel set up. The IFS will lack articulation in off-road situations and will need excessive parts to recorrect geometry upon modification. Overall, the vehicle is solid will some lacking qualities. It really depends on how you see yourself using this truck and matching your desires to the optimal vehicle which can bring such use. Lastly, the rear leaf springs are horrible quality from 2nd and 3rd gen. Once you encounter dirt, the rear leafs will begin to squeak. BEWARE.

My 2009 Toyota Tacoma is a base model single cab four-wheel drive vehicle with standard length truck bed. I wanted a truck that had plenty of room to haul construction materials, bikes and other large objects but that was also capable of taking me tough mountain roads that small vehicles were unable to. Coming from a car with all sorts of electronic gadgets that had a tendency to break overtime. I wanted a vehicle with few power features that were easy and cheap to fix if they ever broke. The Toyota lineup is robust and long lasting, which means buying another vehicle doesn't have to happen for a long time.
Story
Taking it up a mountain Jeep road into a high alpine basin for camping and thunderstorms.
Pros
The positive things are the comfort and ease of driving, the full-length truck bed, the off-road capability and the long-lasting engine and body that Toyota builds.
Cons
The negatives are also the positives in my opinion, but the lack of cruise control, power windows, keyless entry would be considered, by most, to be negative. This is a truck so ride quality is sacrificed when compared to a car. Neither engine configuration is particularly fast, so if you're looking for fast performance, look elsewhere.

The location is convenient to my house, so I can get there in less than 15 minutes. The shuttle service is prompt. I like that I can work with a specific service manager rather than have to take whoever shows up at the car when I get to the dealer. If you need to wait while they work on your car, they provide coffee, drinks, and snacks. There's also a place to sit and work (wifi access) if you need to get work done while waiting for your car to be serviced. I've always been treated fairly at Stevinson.
