I love my Corolla. It is my first Toyota but most likely not the last. It's proven to be everything I was expecting and would definitely recommend it to others. My service experience has even been great, as I've taken it to two different dealerships now. Each experience has been awesome.
Story
I love beating other drivers into parking spots with it. Because it is so small, very few people are able to fit into the spots that mine can. It makes for some interesting exchanges.
Pros
It is magnificent on gas mileage. I can sometimes go weeks without going to the gas station, if I work remotely or don't drive much. It is also very cheap to maintain, which keeps emergencies pretty cheap. I live in a neighborhood with almost no parking, and the compact size of the vehicle makes it a very easy fit in most spots. Saves me a bunch of time parking.
Cons
It is a very small car and I sometimes have issues when hauling items. Also, it does not travel well in snow or inclement weather. Snow tires help but overall not the best choice for snow.

I knew I wanted to get a Corolla for my next car, and was limiting my search to only that type. When I found the Corolla for me, it was easy to decide that it was my type of car because I had experience driving Corolla's that my parents owned. I like that it is not too large because I don't feel comfortable driving SUVs or even larger sedans. The Corolla has excellent gas mileage. Mine is a 1998, so I'm sure that if I ever decided to get a newer one, the mileage would be even better. The speed was not an issue, it is able to accelerate to speed limit speeds pretty quickly, and getting on the highway is no problem at all. This car is pretty agile and can brake as well as turn really well.
Pros
The top positive things about my Corolla are that is not too long or too wide of a vehicle. The fact that the gas mileage is so great, even for an older vehicle (1998) is very nice. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about holding traffic up because the acceleration is not an issue in my car. Also, even though it isn't very long or wide, it doesn't feel cramped in the car, and I am a taller person so that is very important. I'm also pleased with the resale value. Corolla's seem to hold their value very well over time.
Cons
The top negatives about this car are the automatic door locks don't seem to be consistently working right. I don't trust it and lock my doors manually. I also would prefer that a better sound system comes standard and I will count that as a negative.

I felt that the salesman wasn't necessarily all about selling me a car that I didn't want, he was more concerned about making sure I was happy. Furthermore, he didn't sell me on some sort of loan. We showed up, told him what we wanted, and he didn't push us around. I was very satisfied.

They were very helpful in helping me make a deal that both of us liked. Going over issues and any other things was very smooth, and the entire buying process was great.
