The caliber is a very neat little car. It handles really well on the road. The sleek design of the exterior is rather appealing. The interior is clean and comfortable. My one complaint regarding comfort would be the awkward design of the driver and front passenger head rests. They angle forward too far for my comfort. I get roughly 30 mpg on the highway. I drive to a different city (35 miles) for work everyday and have to fill the tank once a week. In 25 months I have had to have the car realigned only once.
Story
I took a road trip with my friends across the country in my car. We were all comfortable enough to take naps (not the driver of course!) anywhere. There was even enough room to play a fun game of Apples to Apples in the back seat!
Pros
The maintenance indicator lights are very useful. The alerts appear soon enough that I had about 30 days to complete the maintenance (oil change, battery, low fluid) before troubles would arise. The small size of the car makes for a very fun drive. Save for the blind spot issue, I am easily able to navigate in and out of traffic. The car accelerates at a good speed. I am able to get up to 75 to merge onto the highway in less than 30 seconds. When the wind speeds increase, the car does become difficult to control. There is tons of space in the car. The back seats fold down. I really like th... (more)
Cons
The biggest problem I have with the car is the size of the blind spot on either side. The angle of the hatchback and the size of the frame in the back cause for a rather large blind spot. The Caliber is small enough to easily navigate in traffic, but the width of the frame makes it a bit difficult.

This is my first "new" car since I got my Jeep Wrangler from my dad in 2000. I saw this car online after I found out that my Jeep wouldn't make it through another winter without considerable repairs. It was love at first sight! When I test drove it I knew it had to be mine.
Pros
Silly as it sounds I love the power windows and locks. The car came with an awesome sound system and a Aux port so I can plug in my phone to listen to music when ever I want. It handles great in the snow.
Cons
I wish the back end was designed better. Having a wiper back there is great but the over hanging "spoiler" makes it very hard to scrape snow off of the back window. The interior has a little too much plastic. I have broken the hooks on my sun visors on both sides now. The passenger seat belt mechanism seems to have been broken the day we bought it. Also made out of plastic. It doesn't have a lot of "get up and go".
