My 2003 Accent is a reliable car. With basic maintenance, I've had no issues after putting 30k miles on it. I bought it with 120k miles on it. I get good gas mileage with 28 miles per gallon on average. The interior is a good size for me. It accommodates everything I need to carry inside without being too big. I wouldn't say the interior is of the highest quality, but it isn't low quality. The electrical components haven't required any maintenance or replacing except for a lamp fuse. I don't like how it has little power and it does not accelerate quickly. This isn't a necessity, but it would be nice to have. The frame feels cheap. The plastic parts of the body are easily damaged.
Story
I took my Accent up on a camping trip. The dirt roads were bumpy and untamed. It was fun driving it outside of its normal setting.
Pros
Gas mileage, doesn't break down, easy to find parts if needed, low maintenance.
Cons
Power/acceleration is weak, car body seems cheap.

2003 Hyundai Accent - Just a cheap Korean car.

It's just a cheap Korean made car that gets the job done. I would never buy the same car again. I just needed something cheap to get me to and from work. It did the job alright. It is not stylish at all. The stereo is terrible. The windshield has a strange glare to it that gives me headaches. I don't use it much at all nowadays. The seats are not comfortable.
Story
I used it to go camping. I wished I had four-wheel drive. But it got me there and back. So I'm thankful for that.
Pros
It is cheap. It is economical on gas. It's cheap looking so was never broken into. That's what I'm most thankful for I guess.
Cons
It is not stylish whatsoever. The stereo is terrible. I am a musician, so this annoyed me a lot. I think it made driving more of a chore than a pleasure. Just an ugly interior and exterior too for that matter. The seats are uncomfortable. Rolling down windows is a pain.

The dealership had a car that was in our price range. We were also looking for a place with good customer service.
