My 2003 Accent is a reliable car. With basic maintenance, I've had no issues after putting 30k miles on it. I bought it with 120k miles on it. I get good gas mileage with 28 miles per gallon on average. The interior is a good size for me. It accommodates everything I need to carry inside without being too big. I wouldn't say the interior is of the highest quality, but it isn't low quality. The electrical components haven't required any maintenance or replacing except for a lamp fuse. I don't like how it has little power and it does not accelerate quickly. This isn't a necessity, but it would be nice to have. The frame feels cheap. The plastic parts of the body are easily damaged.
Story
I took my Accent up on a camping trip. The dirt roads were bumpy and untamed. It was fun driving it outside of its normal setting.
Pros
Gas mileage, doesn't break down, easy to find parts if needed, low maintenance.
Cons
Power/acceleration is weak, car body seems cheap.

2000 Hyundai Accent - Hyundai vehicles are more reliable than Honda's, with every vehicle from the Korean automaker earning at least a 3.5 out of five predicted reliability rating from U.S. News.

Based on listings for the 2018 Hyundai Accent on our site, the average price is $13,700, which is slightly above the class average. Prices range from $12,000 to $16,800 and vary depending on the vehicle’s condition, mileage, features, and location.
Story
No story.
Pros
The 2018 Hyundai Accent has a good predicted reliability rating of four out of five from J.D. Power.
Cons
Subcompact cars aren’t known for long lists of features, and the Accent is no exception. The standard infotainment system is pretty basic and has a small 5-inch screen. The interface found in the upper trims is a lot better.

The dealership had a car that was in our price range. We were also looking for a place with good customer service.
