2007 Pontiac Vibe - Great little car
The Pontiac Vibe is basically the same car as a Toyota Matrix, which is built on a Toyota Corolla chassis. The motor and other mechanical parts are Toyota, while the body and interior is Pontiac. So it has that going for it. The car is very comfortable to drive. It has quite a bit of headroom as well.
Story
When we first got the car, we drove to Winter Park and took it up a forest service road and had a tailgate picnic.
Pros
The Vibe gets great gas mileage, around 30 miles per gallon. It has a built-in roof rack, which easily accepts an aftermarket rack for hauling bikes, skis, etc. One of the best things about the Vibe is how much you can haul. The rear seats fold down flat, which makes a large cargo area. The front passenger seat also folds down, which means you can haul lumber up to 8-feet long. Hauling 10-foot-long lumber? You can do that, but you have to open the rear window. My Vibe has the upgraded sound system with a built-in amplifier and subwoofer, which sounds great. When the passenger seat is folde... (more)
Cons
It's not the speediest or most powerful car. It's also quite noisy when driving on the freeway. It's front-wheel drive, but being the small car that it is, isn't the best for snow driving. A good set of snow tires would definitely help.
2005 Pontiac Vibe - Best car ever!
This vehicle was my all-time favorite car. It just seemed to fit my personality perfectly. I owned this car for over six years and never had any trouble other than standard maintenance.
Story
My location specific story would have to be driving on the dirt roads around my house with my stepfather. He was scared the whole time because apparently I NASCAR drive in my vibe. To this day he still refuses to ride with me driving.
Pros
This vehicle was fully loaded. I have to say some of my favorite features were the moonroof, the hatchback, and the electrical plug-in on the dash. That electrical plug-in came in very handy on numerous occasions.
Cons
The only negative I have for this vehicle is that it seemed to go through tires very quickly. Of course that may just be my driving.
