Overall, I was very pleased with my 98 Toyota Tacoma for many reasons. It's a very useful reliable compact pick-up truck with a usable sized bed. Interior room is a bit limited due to it being a single cab and compact. The little four-cylinder engine produces enough power to get the job done and is efficient. I rebuild engines as a profession and this 6.5 ft. bed makes it easy for me to be able to haul a couple of engines and equipment without having to pull out my gas-guzzling, full-sized pick up.
Pros
One of my favorite features of my truck is the fact that it has a four-cylinder engine that's fuel efficient and reliable. It has enough torque to pull small boats, jet skis, and a host of other things. The brakes are big and provide good stopping when I have a load in the bed.
Cons
My truck being a 2WD base model, I am limited to what I can tow. So it's not practical to pull my car trailer with a car on it. The little four cylinder struggles to live. Also, the radio is of poor quality. And the decision to put a clutch fan on the engine opposed to an electric fan effects the A/C system. No tach to monitor engine speed, and the clock is mounted in a useless location making it hard to easily view it. And the wiper system only has two settings.

This is the Honey Badger of pick-up trucks. Going through a logging trail in the middle of nowhere because the GPS takes you on a road not in maps for your ski trip? This truck can do it. Need to pop on the 4x4 and drive through the beach? This truck can do it! Need to get to the mountain bike trails and the roads are all washed out? This truck basically auto-pilots to the mountain bike trails. Have a few feet of snow and a pregnant wife in labor? I'd only drive this pick-up truck. Need to do a lumber yard run to build that new man cave? I'd take this truck. Best truck value available on the market. I have been driving my truck since 2010 and love it more each day.
Story
I love driving this truck to the mountain bike trails. The drive to and from the trails is almost as fun as the biking.
Pros
Most reliable vehicle I have ever owned which lowers cost of ownership. Plus the truck barely depreciates in value, great way to justify the purchase. Great gas mileage for a truck. I have never encountered somewhere that I don't want to take my truck. Love my Tacoma!
Cons
That I only own one Tacoma!?!

The sales people were very trustworthy and honest about the vehicles we looked at. They were willing to work with us on the price. They even included paying for the purchase and install of a new DVD player in the vehicle. I did not feel like anyone was trying to force me into a deal and felt like I was able to trust the company and the quality of their vehicles.

For one, they are very close to where I live. Secondly, this is my first new car and they bought my used car for more than it is actually worth, in my belief. Plus they discounted the 2013 Camry by $2,000. This car is literally brand new. I bought it two weeks ago. I got the 2013 model instead of the 2014 models that they have because it was recommended by the salesman. He said they are pretty much the same thing but with a price difference of several thousand dollars. So, I would say I was treated well considering that car salesman are paid on commission and he was helping me save money without even having to negotiate.
