I absolutely love my Prius. Living in the city, it is put through the test of stopping and starting over and over again. It has great pick up speed from red light to red light, I often notice I'm faster than other cars out of the gate. When you need to go fast merging onto a highway, it's a little slow. The interior is sleek and nice to the touch, the plastic is sturdy and easy to clean. I have to say, the speakers in this car are amazing. I blast the base and it's crisp and clean, people who pass comment that they had no idea it was coming from a Prius. The touch screen dash is one of my favorite perks. Everything you need is at your fingertips, and coming from a car almost 10 years old, that's spectacular. I've put 5,000 miles on mine in 3 months, and it's still going just as strong ... (more)
Story
I loved the days putting the windows down and driving through the streets of South Philadelphia on summer days. There would be barbecues and block parties all around, and they all knew the Prius was coming when they heard the awesome sound system come down the street, and all the kids would want a ride in the "space ship car".
Pros
My favorite features are the sleek interior, touch screen controls, keyless entry and start up, speaker system, hybrid design, gas mileage and much more. It's such a pro to know that you're driving a hybrid car, better for the environment and the future of the earth!
Cons
If you are tall like myself (5'11) you will need to get used to the higher seats, they make you slouch a little when you drive. There is no button to adjust the seat height. I have gotten used to this, but it was definitely one of the major downsides.

2009 Toyota Prius - A great money saver.

The build quality is great for the price. This is generally a given for Toyotas. It just feels well-made compared to other cars in its class. I love how fuel efficient it is. I can easily get 40-50 miles per gallon without any special driving tactics. I used to spend several hundred dollars a month on gas, and now I spend less than a hundred. It's also much easier to maintain than my previous vehicles. The parts don't wear out as easily, and the battery has a very long life. I haven't experienced any issues with key electronic components. I used to spend at least $1,000 per year getting my previous car serviced, but now I spend a mere fraction of that. The biggest cost so far has been new tires.
Story
When going out with friends, we would play "pack the Prius" and see how many of us we could fit in the entire car. I don't remember the maximum number but quite a few people can fit in there.
Pros
I think the biggest pro is the fuel efficiency. It's also very comfortable despite being relatively compact. You can fit a lot in this car, and you can fit this car into a lot of tight spaces. I can fit comfortably fit four passengers for extended trips, and parallel parking is a breeze. I love the displays and keyless fob. Lastly, the back-up camera is extremely useful. I don't know how I lived before without it.
Cons
The car lacks get-up-and-go of non-hybrids. This is most noticeable when you're trying to merge onto highways. If you live in an area that frequently has treacherous driving conditions, such as a lot of snow and icy roads, then this might not be the best vehicle as it lacks 4WD.

I like the convenient location relative to my home. The service was okay and I think the price negotiation was fair. I felt like I didn't get cheated or anything as the dealer seemed to give me the best price around my area. The car was also handled with care.
