The Kia Soul is big enough for utility and significant storage, but small and sporty enough to be nimble. It is better on gas mileage than expected. I enjoy being able to use the car for both work and pleasure. We cannot complain about the price tag. There are some short comings, but they wouldn't have been so bad had we known about them in advance.

Love My Wandering Soul!
My Kia Soul is the funkiest vehicle I have owned. It has the room and feel of a compact SUV without feeling like you’re driving a truck. The interior is stylish, and unique from any other car out there. I have the benefit of a four door car with lots of room without the generic feel of a sedan. There is very little road noise which allows me to enjoy the rocking sound system. I don’t even mind my long commute now! The car makes me feel hip and young. The gas mileage is fantastic, at least better than any other car I’ve owned. I get about 30-32 MPG on the highway, and even around town I don’t feel like I’m draining my tank. The digital dash display shows the miles I have left in my tank which is very convenient. There is the ability to change driving modes between normal, sport and comfort; however I tend to keep it in normal. I do appreciate the ECO mode around town. All controls are within easy reach, but I love the steering wheel controls for the stereo. The wiper modes were a little confusing at first, there seems to be more than I’m used to. I live in North East PA and have had no issues in rain, sleet, or snow. There’s no sliding and no grinding of the brakes or ABS locking up in bad weather. At first glance it looks like there is little trunk space, however it's amazing what you can fit in there. I like that there is a trunk cover so you cannot see what I have in there through the hatchback, as well as covered storage compartments in the floor. The only downside to this is the lack of a spare tire. My daughter is in college and moving all her stuff a few states away has not been an issue. We just put one or both sides of the back bench seat down and we fit everything effortlessly! I admit I wasn’t sold at first on this car. I was looking more for a full size SUV. However, once I drove my Soul I fell in love. There’s more than enough room for family vacations without the hassle of maneuvering a giant SUV through traffic and parking lots. I am thrilled with my KIA Soul. It’s fun, original, youthful and a blast to drive!
