A great car for a great price
This car is American made and specifically created to be a car for people on a budget. It runs great in the snow, even though it's not all-wheel drive, and the maintenance is very cost effective. This is not a car you'll go broke when replacing the tires, and the parts are just as low cost. It's not flashy, and no one is going to stop and stare, so you should avoid this if you want to impress your friends and strangers. Also, the sound system isn't going to annoy those around you, which is a plus for your community, but means your sound system is junk. You're not going to get all technological bells and whistles that a new car has, but at least that will keep you focused on the road! But if you want to get to work and go on a vacation that doesn't cost as much for gas as the hotel stay, then this is your ride. A dependable work horse for those that need it to last.

2006 Chevy Cobalt experience.
Overall, the car worked well enough for my needs, but we had many issues with it over the years. It had plenty of room and trunk space, and overall the interior was nice. The exterior was also nice, and it looked relatively sleek and attractive. The issues came down to how long the car was effective for. We had many problems with this car over the past five years, and we were constantly putting more and more money into it to fix a ton of issues. Within a few years, we had to replace the brakes twice, needed a new oil tank because of a major leak, needed a new AC system, and had catastrophic engine failure. Overall, the car got us from point a to point b usually, but we put way too much money into a car that wasn't worth it. I was happy enough with the car itself if it hadn't been for all of the technical issues.

I walked into the dealership and let them know exactly what I wanted and how much I was looking to spend. They were very courteous and did not push me to look at anything else and helped answer questions about previous usage of the car! Still have it with no complaints.
