I purchased my 2011 Ford Fiesta SE on Craigslist. I paid $3,000 for it, with 92,000 miles. I bought it because it has great gas mileage, it is small which is great for living in the city, and the SE edition has Bluetooth and several other great amenities. It came with several issues, including scratched rear windows, coolant leak, and other engine troubles. I had to pay several hundred more to fix the outstanding issues. But after I fixed them, it is a great car for commuting. My gas bill is only about 50 dollars a month. I dislike the sound the engine makes, as it's special vtech engine has a high pitched whine at higher speeds. I have a hatchback, and it has a lot of storage in the hatch. The color of my used Fiesta is red, which looks great on the highway. There are no armrests in t... (more)
Story
It stalled on a major highway, which was super fun. We had to get out quickly and figure out what was wrong with it. It turned out to be the coolant reservoir that was cracked and leaking. Meanwhile, there was traffic flying by us at 60 mph. We had no idea what to do, and we just stood there by the side of the road, dazed and confused. I took the reins, so to speak, and quickly surmised that a... (more)
Pros
Gas mileage. Color. Price. Ease of repairs. Small, great for parking.

This is not a terrible car. It gets decent gas mileage, is small enough to fit in tight parking spaces, and has great handling. Although, there is one big issue that causes scares and may make the vehicle not worth the buy.
Story
I did drive it from Pennsylvania to Denver Colorado twice within a month. It doesn't have many issues on the highway, so it was a smooth trip.
Pros
This car gets an average of 32 mpg. It isn't what the manufacturer says the average will be, but it is still pretty good compared to most other vehicles, and saves you a bit of money. This car is very aerodynamic and is built with a good suspension system, so the handling is great. The center of gravity is low, so it corners well while maintaining speed. With the car being so light, it can stop very quickly with doing minimal damage to the brake systems.
Cons
This car was equipped with a type of transmission that wasn't tested for long enough, It constantly grinds and makes other terrible noises that would normally lead a person to believe that there is a serious problem with their brand new car. The transmission not only sounds horrible, but it performs terribly too. My car has personally stalled out several times in heavy traffic, which almost got me killed once. This transmission is supposed to help the average mpg, but it doesn't seem to be any better than other cars with conventional automatic transmissions.
