My silver VW Passat is a cute, compact car that runs super smooth. I've only ever had minor issues with it like burnt out lights and problems with a window. It's reliable, as I used it every day to commute to campus in good weather and in bad. I've had no issues with the stereo system, and the cassette aux cords allow for this car to have an aux cord still. I would commute to school everyday, and I would only need to fuel up once or twice a week. I have driven this car for thousands of miles, and it still runs as smooth as when I got it a couple years ago. Also, this car has accommodated my cello perfectly as I would take my cello with me also to school and back, and I've never had a problem doing so.
Story
All that comes to mind is one night getting lost on my way home, so I ended up driving around for a while, and it felt nice because the car runs smooth. I was just cruising home.
Pros
Good, compact car. Drives very smoothly and fast. One barely needs to hit the gas pedal in order to make it go. Five people have always been seated comfortably. Sun roof is great. A/C has always worked and been great as well. There is only a cassette player, but one can still use an aux cord which is enough. Lasts a long time and has been a great car for me for a couple years now.
Cons
When one thing was wrong and then would get fixed, it seemed as if something new would be broken. So overall, there seemed to be something always wrong with the car. Albeit, it was always a minor thing. Seats are leather, so in the summer, it's always burning hot inside the car.

My Passat is a beast. It just passed 315,000 miles and still trucking. The engine is strong enough to pass on highways, cruise up mountains and plow (not literally) through snow. Maintenance is perfect for a first car, most everything is accessible and easy to work on. Doing routine maintenance is a great learning experience for new car owners. Lots of space both in back seat and trunk. Moved across country just in this car, sans furniture. Great sound system and comfy seats, makes for a great road trip car. Manual transmission is a workhorse, same transmission that came with the car and again 315,000 miles.
Story
Filling the car with snowboards and friends, driving 8+ hours in the snow and mountains, and everyone being comfortable, warm, with enough space and safe the entire time. Enough power to get up the mountain and enough space for all our junk.
Pros
Great engine, good power and solid torque. Big car with lots of space but good gas mileage. High-quality engineering, parts last a long time and don't break often. 315,000 miles, that is pretty awesome.
Cons
Leather seats get hot in the sun. Major repairs can become costly because of genuine part costs.

They actually sold me the car for the price they advertised. That's about it, it took really long, they did have good service, they made me feel like I was buying a BMW or an expensive vehicle with the way they treated me. I asked for a Volkswagen sweater and they gave me one.
