I like the Legacy because of how it has performed for me in all sorts of conditions, especially snow and dirt roads. My version of the sedan has a sunroof and heated seats, which really steps up the quality of the interior. Overall, the Legacy is not a looker, but is a workhorse. The engine definitely needs major repairs after 100k, but I'm willing to put in the money to maintain the vehicle. The AWD has been very reliable and for a smaller car, it is surprisingly roomy and comfortable for four passengers.
Story
The third week I got it, a severe hail storm damaged all of the panels but I kept the car!
Pros
I love the AWD, the trunk space for its size, the aux port, the visibility (seriously excellent) and how the steering feels.
Cons
The transmission occasionally slips or shudders when downshifting into first coming to a stop. Expensive maintenance on the timing belt and head gaskets.

We purchased this car for my wife as a family car. It has proved to be a wonderful family car and my wife loves it! The only other vehicle she will trade it for is a truck. This car has 220,000 miles on it, and the only issue we (just recently) have is the cruise control went out. No biggie. For a vehicle this age and with this many miles, I am more than excited to have minimal issues with it. We are more than happy with our purchase.
Story
We live in the mountains of Colorado and love enjoying family time in nature. I decided to take my wife's car instead of my 4x4 truck up to the mountains. My wife did not think we would make it. I got to say "I told you so" for once... I was content with myself.
Pros
We have found tons of perks with this car versus others of the similar size and quality. We love that it is AWD. We live in Colorado, and it definitely comes in handy getting through the snow. It has a nice "trunk" for our grocery shopping and other home project pick ups. My wife has a little "too much" fun with the turbo. It also has a sunroof that is wonderful to enjoy on our mountain trips to soak in the sunshine and crisp air. We love the automatic windows and mirrors, sport mode transmission, heated seats, and smooth ride it provides.
Cons
It has very low clearance, so if we get about 5 inches of snow, it plows the road. The back seat is just big enough for my 8-year-old son to sit but could definitely use more room. Tires are very low profile, so it's hard to find a "snow tire" that will fit it.

They were friendly and professional. When I went in I was looking for a car that was both affordable and also reliable. they worked with me and my budget to find the best car that fit my needs. After shopping for a car for several weeks I was finally able to end my search by going to Mike Shaw. I'm very happy with my purchase and would go back again the next time I buy another car.

Very fast and kind service. The salesman was great and he was not pushy at all. Even when we picked out a different color he was completely ok with re-doing the paperwork
