2002 Buick Century
We have had our 2002 Buick Century for about 12 years now, and it has held up very well. As with any car, it has had to be in the shop a few times for different things. It drives and handles real well, it has over 200,000 miles on it, and it still going strong. The only issues now are that the body is getting some rust from our wonderful Wyoming winters when we have salt put on the roads, the rear view mirror fell off from getting too hot in the car this summer, and the gear indicator light went out a while ago. The car starts great and runs well even with all the miles on it. It could use a new battery, but that is not much of a problem. The interior has held up very well with adults, kids, and dogs all riding in it at different times. The car still has a lot of pep in it too. With the newer set of tires that are on it, this car should be around for a very long time.

One of the best I've ever owned.
I bought my 2002 Buick Century as a used car for $1500. That was two years ago. I was told it was just an old clunker but it would probably get me around for awhile. I have driven this car for two years doing nothing but keeping the oil changed regularly. This car has 195,000 miles on it and since I've had it has been from my home in central Iowa to such places as Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Michigan, and I wouldn't be afraid to take it to California. I love this car. It gets 32 mpg, uses no oil, rides comfortably, and has no major issues. If I was to recommend a car, I would definitely recommend a Buick. They are dependable, roomy and comfortable on long trips, plus they have a nice large trunk capable of hauling anything you might want to put in it. They are powerful enough to pull a camper, or trailer, making them useful for both business and pleasure. With their 5 passenger seating you can easily take the entire family on long trips with plenty of leg room for everybody and that's one thing that you don't find in most cars today. I think this car would make anybody happy.

Always feels "off."
The Buick, while it has never broken down on me, always feels "off." What I mean by this specifically is that the car rumbles when the ignition is started. Various creaks and noises seem to come from the engine when driving or while parked, and you can feel the car "moving" too much while you drive. The build quality, while appearing stable, therefore seems suspect to me. The internal materials are nice in the Buick, and I especially like the middle compartment which is movable and has a lot of space for knick-knacks. The fuel economy is not great—it seems like I generally get about 300 miles for a full tank but sometimes less. The performance is generally reliable, although I do notice that the engine struggles when going up hills quite a bit and that sometimes I really need to "floor" the gas to get up to high speeds on the highway. The style of the car is decent, as the car is roomy and has a nice appearance, but is a little bit too large for my taste and feels a bit clunky to me. The Buick has a lot of trunk space, which is nice. One thing about the Buick is that the rear window broke for no apparent reason. It went off its track and the power button stopped working. I ended up having to lock it in place rather than endure a costly repair.
