We recently added a second child to our brood and needed a bigger vehicle than my small car. We traded in for the Buick Encore and love it! While it is still small for an SUV, it is perfect for what we need. It is stylish on the inside and outside. It is quiet and the on-demand awd is amazing in the winter. I actually just drove it in the blizzard in Denver and had very little trouble. The ride is smooth and enjoyable. The only downside is that braking is loud and makes an odd noise. Have taken it to the dealership and have been told it is just that way. Overall the pros far outweigh the few (one in my case) cons.
Title
I drove it in rush hour of the 2016 blizzard in Denver and while other cars were all over the road, in ditches, and wrecked I SAILED right through the mess and got safely to and from work!
Pros
It has a quiet drive and rides very smooth. I love the on-demand all wheel drive and that the car senses slipping before I do. It is a great feature for safety. The outside and inside are both stylish and show luxury in the vehicle itself. The gas mileage is great! I thought we would spend more on gas going from a tiny car to this but they are both comparable. We love this car.
Cons
The storage space could be a bit more. The vehicle is small as far SUV's are concerned but it works well for my family. We have noticed (several times) a weird noise from the brakes. It almost sounds like air coming from them but the dealership assured us that is not the case and this is common with this vehicle. It is concerning and I have done a lot of reserach and others experience this as well.

2012 Buick Encore - Nice Sedan

Overall, a nice family car. But it does make you choose between power and fuel savings.
Title
Hoing on family vacation to mount rush more the ride was comfortable enough I rarely hear my 2 children complain because they were often lulled to sleep by the Lacrosse's gentle easy ride.
Pros
Pros – The entertainment system was top notch and had good sound throughout the cabin. The 2012 Lacrosse also have a large cabin area with plenty of leg-room for both the tallest passengers and the driver. Whether your travels are just going across town or across the county, the Lacrosse provides the quiet and comfortable ride that Buick has been known for. It offers surprisingly reasonable gas mileage thanks in great part to the E assist model, which is 4 cylinder with an electric motor to help out fuel efficiency. This gives it a surprisingly high 25/36 mpg city/highway.
Cons
Cons – Unfortunately, in order to get the high gas mileage stated above, the 4 cylinder has to give up power. However Buick does offer a six cylinder if it’s power you crave but the gas mileage also predictably goes down to an EPA-estimated 18/28 mpg city/highway. So you have to ultimately choose between power or fuel efficiency. Also the trunkss a little on the small side when compared with older Buicks.

2002 Buick Encore - Looks nice, but many problems.

The car has a nice look on the outside and inside. I have about 60,000 miles on the car. It gets about 18 miles per gallon in the city, and about 20 miles per gallon on the highway. It is a type of car that does not seem to have the smoothest type ride while driving down the road. Also at night it is very dark on the inside of the car. It is hard to see the radio dials, and heater and AC adjustments.
Title
Just taking a local drive down a small highway. It was quite enjoyable.
Pros
It is a roomy car inside, with a good sized trunk. It is fairly comfortable. The car has automatic doors, trunk, and windows. The adjustment for the A/C and heater are separate for the driver and the passenger so they can put it to their desired temperature.
Cons
The brake line broke right away after buying it. The front end has already had a sway bar replaced, and all the ball joints, plus tie rod ends. All replaced before 10,000 miles were even on the car.
