2012 Buick Verano Owner Ratings & Reviews
Write a Review
2012 Buick Verano - Affordable Car with Luxury Feel
Overall, one of the best cars I have ever owned. It is a good-looking car both inside and out, and I especially enjoy the premium feel of the interior. Gas mileage and safety were very important to me when I was looking for a car, and this vehicle has not disappointed. I love the premium feel and enjoy the look on people's faces when I tell them how much I have paid for the car - they expect it to cost a lot more than it does.
Story
I coach a softball team and have had no trouble fitting all of my gear (ball buckets, pop-up nets, tees, etc) in the trunk of the car. I don't mind driving to farther tournaments because the car is so enjoyable to drive.
Pros
The car drives very smoothly and has a sporty feel despite not being a sports car. I love the touch screen entertainment system and the ability to pair with my smartphone and mp3 player. I also find that the remote start comes in handy during the cold winter months.
It has also been a very reliable car with regular maintenance and has not given me any trouble mechanically.
Cons
The tires are "sport" tires, do not last long, and are expensive to replace. I had never popped a tire before this car and have popped six in three years since I got it. I wish that the tires were more durable or could be replaced with tires with thicker walls.
2012 Buick Verano - Reliable and sensible
I was a little nervous about purchasing a model in its first year of existence, but I have been very pleased with my Buick Verano. It was affordable and offers a nice range of amenities and features for the price point. The end result is a comfortable driving experience and a simple, reliable ride.
Story
The small size is convenient when looking for parking spots. Even though the car is small and I am tall, I even managed to sleep in it overnight when I was out of town and unexpectedly found all the hotels full.
Pros
I chose the Buick Verano because I am tall and was drawn to the headroom and legroom. The physical fit has been great. On top of that, I have appreciated the bells and whistles like the remote starter, Bluetooth and auxiliary inputs, and the various automatic features that I don't even think about.
Cons
The standard issue tires are not great. I wish, in retrospect, I had paid for something better. The climate control system works fine, but the console could have been designed a little more intuitively. The USB port in my car doesn't actually playback music.
