Chattanooga, TN Driving Tips
I would give other drivers the tip of driving very aggressively down some of the roads in Chattanooga. People can be very rude in this area and not let you get to where you need to go.
Chattanooga, TN Buying Tips
When buying a car in Chattanooga, there is a great area filled with multiple car dealerships. This is located off of Highway 153. There are multiple dealerships working within each other, there are also major dealerships, such as Ford, and Chevy that can be found there.
Favorite Driving Memory
Driving in Chattanooga has its ups and it stands. Whenever it rains, people sometimes drive like maniacs. It is a very congested city, and it takes a long time to get to different places. When I worked, I would have to drive 45 minutes one way to get there. On my way home, that was the worst time. I

would spend at least an hour in traffic, before I even got close to where I needed to be. Most of the lanes in Chattanooga are narrow due to the fact that they have been paved over so many times, and restriped to add more lanes. I would not recommend driving in Chattanooga to anyone.
Favorite Road
Shallow Ford Rd.

If I had to recommend a road to drive on while in Chattanooga, I would highly recommend Shallow ford Road. It has recently been repaved. It has two lanes going west, in two lanes going east. There is also a turning lane for most of the road that eliminates congestion quite drastically.
Chattanooga, TN Driving Tips
Just be considerate. There are so many inconsiderate drivers here that we don't need anymore. Just yesterday, a person almost hit me and I honked at them. It wasn't an angry honk, just more to let them know that I was there and to keep an eye on me. Instead of acknowledging me or their mistake, they

honked back and shook their fist at me angrily. Just try to be considerate of other people and their cars.
Chattanooga, TN Buying Tips
The place most people buy a car is Shallowford Rd/Hwy 153, they call it Automotive Row. But I personally prefer Carvana. They deliver to Tennessee now, and it is the absolute easiest way to purchase a car.
Favorite Driving Memory
My favorite memory of driving in Chattanooga is driving up Lookout Mountain. It doesn't look like much from the valley, but once you get to the top you're in another world. There's a different style of architecture, the views are amazing. They even have better weather. It's always a good bit cooler

It takes you almost straight up Lookout Mountain and has scenic views. It's a windy road, so you have to be okay with that, but once you get to the top you have all of Lookout Mountain to explore.
Chattanooga, TN Driving Tips
AVOID at all cost going 75 South around the "Ridge Cut" during rush hour. It's a dead stand still and really a nightmare to wait in. Parking is terrible downtown basically all the time. Be careful doing down any of the streets with numbers after dark. Be patient and enjoy the scenery. Know that ther

e are Carta buses and pedestrians everywhere. Tennesseans can't drive and there's always construction...but the view of the city is worth it!
Chattanooga, TN Buying Tips
Rossville has a ton of used cars and Chattanooga, near East Brainerd, has Automotive Row: an entire row of new and used auto dealers. Nothing in this area is close by so you need a vehicle that gets great gas mileage and maybe something small enough for the downtown parking.
Favorite Driving Memory
I spent a ton of time getting to drive back and forth from my small town in North Georgia to Chattanooga taking my husband who had cancer to the hospital and doctor's visits. It was nice to get to spend the time together in the car singing and sight-seeing despite the traffic that we so often sat in
