2006 Chevrolet Aveo - Great on gas, and reliable, surprisingly good on the highway.

This is the first stick shift I have owned, it is very good on gas. I often travel since I go to college outside of my hometown. It doesn't take much to fill up and even after driving for 120+ miles I will have a half tank of gas left. Also for a small car, it can fit a considerable amount of items. Since the back seat can be let back this leaves a lot of room to put stuff like my bass guitar, amp, and mini fridge I take to school with me. The only thing I dislike about it is that the version I have doesn't have electric windows or locks so I have to everything manually.
Story
My favorite was when I was still learning how to drive a stick shift and I accidentally shifted to the first gear instead of the third and the car did this jerking motion and scared the crap out of my sister and me. Ever since then I've been extremely conscious of shifting from 2nd to 3rd.
Pros
Favorite feature is the size, with living in the city having a small car is great because the car can fit into just about any parking spot with ease. I also like that servicing the car isn't too bad on the pockets either.
Cons
The thing I'm not completely in love with is the speed, I wish it was a little faster. Also, the upholstery isn't the best, I notice a lot of fraying on the seats. The quality of the gear shift boot isn't that great either as it sometimes comes up to where I can see parts of the car underneath it and I have to press it back down.

Well, I just got this car as a second car for me and my daughter to drive. I like the size of the car. It has a nice quiet drive to it and the price was great. Buying it used was the best for us; it still looked new and it is a 2009. We didn't want a 2009 car that looks old. It has a lot to it for the price, like the interior has a lot of room for being a small car.
Story
Watching my daughter drive the car and show her friend she even took pictures at the dealer with the car and keys it was cute.
Pros
I liked the look of the car for the price we paid. It's a great size and is really good on gas. It's fun to drive and very easy to park. The car has a really nice look to it, a little sporty and has leather and wood trim.
Cons
I don't think the car is as well built as say a Honda or others. When we first got the car there was a little brake smell. I took it in to have it checked and they just said that it was from sitting, but I have never had that smell on other cars from sitting. I hope the car is going to last; it is nice to look at but doesn't seem to be well made.
