This car runs really well during the winter. Although it’s a small car, it feels really heavy which makes it excellent when driving in snow. There’s multiple times where I’ve seen other cars slide off the road, but my car has been able to still maintain traction. This has been the case even when my tires are not new. I rarely slide off the road. The other thing I like is that the car has a very strong engine compared to some of my friend’s cars. I currently have over 233,000 miles with no major engine problems. Most people usually start having engine problems by the time they make it to 100,000 miles. I also like how fast the car picks up. I’ve driven a Honda Fit once, and I can confidently say that my car accelerates better.
Story
One day during a snow storm in Wisconsin, I drove to work without getting stuck -- despite the fact that there was more than three feet of snow drifts. I drove to work at around 4 am and made it safely.
Pros
Stable on the road (heavy as noted in my review). Strong engine (as noted in my review). Accelerates well (as noted in my review). Cheap to maintain: The spare parts for the car are cheap and easily available. Since it’s such a common car, you can easily find spare parts -- even in junk yards. Most mechanics are also able to comfortably do repairs. A/C and heating system are fantastic and have never broken down since I bought the car. Favorite features: Back seat can easily open into the trunk. Central lock system is great, especially since it’s an old car. Nice CD player exists. Glove com... (more)
Cons
The car tends to rust really quickly, especially if you live in a place that goes through winter. I wish the cover had a bottom cover plate like new cars. Having a bottom cover plate would help prevent the rusting that takes place from underneath. I’ve noticed that getting a good battery for this car is sometimes a problem. I’ve somehow ended up replacing new batteries within less than a year. My mechanic said that some batteries don’t recharge well with this type of car. It usually makes me uneasy when I’m getting a new battery, as I don’t want to be stuck in the middle of the highway. Ch... (more)

I really liked the look of the vehicle. Its style was very sleek and modern for the time. The compact feel of the vehicle on the outside was deceiving as the inside was very spacious and offered seats for up to four more passengers plus the driver. The trunk space offered many spacious options as well. I disliked that the windows were crank windows and not power windows. It was a pain, sometimes, to roll them down, especially while driving. This vehicle also did not have a CD player or tape deck, so I was stuck with the radio whenever I was in the car. The majority of the time I had to listen to only one station because that is all my antenna could pick up. Overall, I enjoyed this car for how long it served me. It got me to where I needed to go with minimal problems.
Story
I bought this car to drive to and from school, basically to get me around. I remember one time I was going back to college, and for some reason, I started to drift near the orange barrels. I took my passenger side mirror clean off. I was in shock and didn't know what to do! Luckily, my dad knew how to fix that problem, and my car looked good as new!
Pros
Gas mileage. Four-door sedan. Color options. Trunk space. The overall look of the outside. The shifter on the lower right hand side of the driver instead of by the wheel. Automatic lights option on the vehicle instead of having to manually put them on every time you entered the car.
Cons
Barely could fit someone who was 6'2" tall. No CD player or tape deck. No battery-operated key fob. Crank windows, not automatic windows. Hard to get to the window in the back because of how deep the trunk goes. It'd start to shake when you reach 72 mph on the highway/freeway.
