I have been very pleased with this car. The fuel economy is excellent, 35.7 mpg. The car is very reliable. I have put 130,000 miles on it and have only needed to replace brakes, spark plugs, tires, and the water pump. I live in Wisconsin where the winters are very cold and snowy. The car is parked outside most of the time and only shows reluctance to start when the temps are below negative 20. Because the car has a low and wide stance it is very stable in the snow. The interior is comfortable. The seats adjust nicely and provide adequate support. My husband is 6' tall and I am 5'3" and we are able to comfortably adjust the seats for both of us. The interior noise is very minimal. I don't feel as if I need to shout over the car to have a conversation. All of the controls, both dash and ... (more)
Story
During the winter this car has handled most of the snow storms quite well. Except for one storm. We live at the top of a rather steep, high hill. My husband was unable to get the car up the hill. So, he had to park it at the bottom and wait until the storm had ended and the plows had come through. By that time, the car was well plowed in, and the whole family had to trek down the hill with sho... (more)
Pros
One of my favorite features of the vehicle is the controls on the steering wheel. I can adjust the radio, answer phone calls, change the info displayed on the dash, and set the cruise without looking down or removing my hands from the wheel. I also love the reliability. As I mentioned earlier, we have put 130,000 miles on the car. So far we've only needed normal up keep, tires and such, and to replace the water pump.
Cons
I have very few negative things to say about this car. The only thing that I do not like is the lack of leg room in the back. My 9 year old is running out of leg room.

2013 Ford Focus - Great vehicle for its value.

I really like the fuel economy, especially on the highway and interstate. It easily gets 35 mpg on that type of driving. In city driving, it drops down to 30-31 mpg, so still pretty good, just not awesome. I like that it is small but not so small that I can't fit anything in it. I was able to pack a keyboard with a stand and a bench in it, downhill and cross-country skis, etc. The one thing that I don't like is only very small coolers fit in the trunk because of how large the opening is. I think if I could get the cooler past the opening, it would fit fine, but getting it in is hard. I have to put coolers in the backseat. Also, the Bluetooth doesn't work well with my Galaxy phone, and now it doesn't ever seem to hear me when I talk to it. Talking on the phone still works, but ... (more)
Story
My summer tires are getting old and worn down, so I bought winter tires two years ago. I asked my boyfriend to put the tires on once we had a light dusting of snow, so he decided to drive across the lawn to get the garage (instead of the driveway). He got the car stuck in the middle of the yard. It was fun to laugh at him trying to get it unstuck. Once the snow tires were on, it made it th... (more)
Pros
It was a good price for the car, and I love the fuel economy and the small (but not too small) size.
Cons
The Bluetooth doesn't work very well. Also, it's a cheap car, so even getting into a deer accident will almost cause your car to be totaled.
