I own a basic Cobalt model. I am not the first owner of the car, but it is still running today with quite a bit of maintenance. It is a nice compact car that is great on gas; however, it does not provide room for a large family.
Story
The car is great to take to the downtown area bars where parking is small and very limited. I could always and easily find parking.
Pros
The Cobalt is great on gas. I can fill my tank up twice a month to drive about 20 miles a day. It is great for a single person. It is very compact but not tiny where one would look odd. I can also fit my son's infant car seat in the back fairly easily. The heater heats up the car fairly quickly.
Cons
Unfortunately, I've had to replace several things on this car throughout the years. The air conditioner gave out and had to be replaced completely. Then, 2 years later the transmission also had to be worked on. The locking portion of the driver's door malfunctioned twice and also had to be replaced. The exterior paint and coat has started to peel tremendously. The car is also too small for more than 2 people of average size. The trunk is also difficult to carry a regular sized stroller and groceries. Interior cosmetic features have also broken like the top half of the locks.

The Cobalt's drive is very smooth, and the handling is extremely precise. The turn radius is very small, so it's easy to turn around with and get in and out of tight spots. So far, I have logged close to 100,000 miles on it, but it has not broken down, not even once. Oh sure, it has of course required the necessary maintenance such as tires, oil, and shocks, but nothing has broken down that wasn't supposed to. It is not a very fast car, but it has just enough pep to get by. Probably one of its best features is its very good gas mileage. There are of course hybrids that blow it out of the water in gas mileage, but for full gas cars it probably has one of the best gas mileages for its vehicle class. I usually get over 30 mpg in it.
Story
I and some friends of mine all stuffed ourselves in to my Cobalt and drove around town all night long. I drove on many back roads on which we had never been and kicked up lots of dust with the tires.
Pros
Its tight turn radius and good handling. The gas mileage is very good, and I felt very safe while driving it. It is also a very pretty car with a decent amount of space.
Cons
It doesn't go very fast, and the acceleration on it is quite lacking. Its also a bit small in cabin space, especially when you have a lot of people riding with you.

I liked going to this dealership because they were very courteous and helped me find what I wanted. I was looking for a vehicle that was not expensive that I could use to run errands and such. I was able to find that here.
