This is one of the most stylish cars I have ever owned. I have received many compliments on its looks. Much like a Jaguar. The interior is comfortable, seating is good and the stereo is awesome. The optional moon roof is great in the summer. Handling is above average, gas mileage is fair performance is also adequate. There are also some issues but these are mostly due to the age of the vehicle. It is 12 years old and has 186,000 on it. The drive train remains fairly strong but the age and mileage of the vehicle are requiring constant repair.
Story
My previous job was in a rural area and I had to drive down some winding roads. The vehicle was quite fun to drive in summer on the curves and switch backs.
Pros
The positives about this vehicle are its styling, somewhat like a Jaguar. Another positive about the car is its stereo, which is excellent although limited to a single cd. The car also handles very well, its low stance and 50 series tires on 17" rims hug the road quite well. Interior comfort for two is good but cramped in the back seat.
Cons
The vehicle does have a few draw backs. The back seats are only for smaller adults. Gas mileage is a serious disappointment. Winters in the Midwest can be cold and the car usually would struggle to get to 20 mpg in combined driving.

1996 Chrysler Sebring - ugly, slow, comfortable

The things that are good about this car are it is very comfortable, the interior is clean looking and quiet, and it handles very well. The cons are mainly about the power and styling. The car has a 2.4 liter engine which is not enough to push it along. The car itself is also quite long making it ugly. The engine also has a few problems with blown gaskets and timing belts. The tie rods on the front end seem to go out quite often too. With everything together it is hard to fix these items because of the way the car was built. Things are hard to get to and replace. The battery is on the inside of the drivers side wheel well which makes it hard to access when that needs to be replaced. Other than those things the car was not too bad. It is very smooth on the highway and relatively quite fo... (more)
Story
The best memories of this vehicle come from when it's warm out. My buddies and I like to put the top down and go for night drives around town and in the country. That is the best thing about owning a convertible.
Pros
The way this car handles is very surprising. You can take hard corners with is and it will push right around then. The options you can get with the Sebring are also very good. With the JXI model being the highest in the Sebring line it comes equipped with most options. The Infinity sound system in the car was excellent. Top down at highway speeds you can still hear all the range of sounds from it. Another option that was nice to have was the 6 disc cd changer. It makes you able to have a wide selection of songs without having one of those big ugly double din decks. The last good thing abou... (more)
Cons
The biggest con about this car is the skill and knowledge needed to fix it. Everything is in an odd place and hard to get to. Basically half of the car needs to be taken apart when you want to replace something. The gas mileage was not that impressive either even when you take into consideration the size of the engine. Combined it gets around 24 mpg which does not impress me for it being a 2.4 liter. Now despite the interior looking nice it is not the strongest. A lot of the part like the vents and speaker covers and made from cheap plastic so when you bump it will break into 20 pieces. T... (more)
